If Irvin hadn't been a Cowboy, ALL OF YOU would say he's the most annoying human being of all time. Stop pretending that putting Irvin and Stephen A together is a good idea. There should be a law against it.

My friend is a Niners fan and he enjoys Irvin. Knows he's a super homer but for non cowboys related news hes super enthusiastic also and has some good input. And I haven't heard a ton of negative press around him from other fans, they know his shtick, and it's mostly playful and harmless.

I like Michael Irvin as much as the next Cowboys fan but is ESPN trying to make all of their shows terrible? Moving Max to that circus in the morning that took over for Mike & Mike won't make that show any better. Get Up is just bad and now Stephen A. Smith is going to turn First Take into a Monday Cowboys debate show.

They think it means rating$, and that’s all they care about. Not quality, not accuracy, not entertainment—just ratings, which means money. They know people are addicted to aggressive confrontation. Screaming arguments, accusations, name calling, outrageous claims, etc.—all comfort food for the shallow, vapid, impressionable, gullible, mouth breathing, mean spirited masses. If ratings on Monday improve, they’ll expand to Tuesday, then Wednesday, and so on.

IMHO, this is bad. It’ll give people more reason to hate the Dallas Cowboys, more reason to argue and overreact, and further desensitize people to moral decay. Some will say I’m too sensitive and/or overreacting, which is kinda ironic, because that’s part of the problem.

I give it about a month before he says somethng thats not PC and then BSPN will cancel him. Mike is just Mike.Thats why we luv the guy.

the ratings been tanking badly many years there. THIS is a last ditch effort for them to get a man that knows the sports scene in there to salvage the channel. Smart, but is it 2 late?
