The Bucs really did something remarkable this offseason by getting nearly everyone of their players and coaches to run it back, i think they lost only one player although i could be wrong though ! I am sure some players could have gotten far more money somewhere else lavonte David and Barret and Godwin ( franchise tagged ) come to mind .I am sure on some level Tom Brady had a little to do with it. Maybe some players had made their money already and are looking for rings now like Suh, Gronk and Brown !

Are we witnessing a change in the way players look at free agency and the whole money vs situation & championship thing ? or Is this an anomaly because of Tom Brady ?

I ask that to ask this

What are the chances this becomes a change in the way players look at their situation and championship chances if the Bucs were to go back to back ? I would love to see Gallop stay in all honesty and keep this offense together while continuing to build the D through the draft !

For the record - I am of the mind set players should get theirs when it comes to money since careers are so short But it would be a nice change to see more athletes do this ! Thoughts ?

There is a lot in what you say.

when the new tv money hits it will be every man for himself then
How true, good lad.
Imagine the empty nonfootball time.
After every time out, kickoff, punt, quarter break, halftime break and 12 minutes of timed commercials, PSAs, upcoming He Man/Woman Challenge rubbish and gushing commercials about Serena or a tired Drake --- blokes, it is madding to see the annual concessions to network projects and everything else besides football.
I exaggerate somewhat, but geepers, boat swains, New TV money always means we end up footing the bill as viewer robots who are OK with the status quo and qui.
Hmmm. The things I say!

it also might be that players are realizing that the money is so great the trade off of a few million to play for fun makes them more happy and that is wisdom

Hey Jinxx , hows it going? Jff game is up.
Now on your question, I think first players have to BELIEVE they have a good shot at winning a SB to stay for less money.
Thats where TB situation is fairly unique, Brady comes in and in first year they go to playoffs, to the SB and win the SB.
So they now all believe in tom and the team and the COACHES. Even the coaches stayed, and that is important, and the dc and oc there factored in to
the SB run and win.

This creates some new questions.
If TB does get to and win a 2nd SB, do they all stay for a chance at 3 in a row ????? I think most would.

This is the first SB team in this century I think that didnt lose players and coaches going to other teams. It will set an example, but they
need to win a 2nd one now to prove it is right thing to stay together.
If they dont make it, then I think the team will start to come apart.

I guess KC kept their team together pretty good too, but fell short of a SB win.

Dallas does not fall into this category, I dont think many of the players really think it is a SB team. And that includes the coaches.

Let's hope a day comes for the Cowboys when a guy like Parsons ignites them like Brady's doing with the Bucs!

Collectively, it's even somewhat possible that with the talent the Dallas offense has, it may happen for them quite soon!

Dak held out for every morsel of candy he could get and refused to take a dollar less. I would say an emphatic no.
