Prediction Time: Cowboys vs Chargers

So after the Bucs game and looking pretty good against the champs the Cowboys looked ready to go against the Chargers, however, how times have changed and what a difference a week makes. Folks, the **** has hit the fan and now the Cowboys look like last year's Cowboys with injuries, suspension, and whatever else. In a span of one week the Cowboys have lost more players (you know who they are) to either injury, suspension, or to Covid. What was a game that the Cowboys should win now looks almost impossible. There is however a silver lining to this endless mess, the Cowboys get back the guard in the league and that will really help, however, they also get Steele at right tackle so who knows how that will go. Defensively the Cowboys had zero sacks last week with their best two pass rushers so how do you think this week will go with their backups. All I can say here is you better dial up a bunch of blitzes otherwise Herbert is going to destroy that defense. Now my big question is the Cowboys special teams, especially Zurliene, will he be better this week or will he be looking for a new job come next week. As far as the outcome I wanted to pick the Cowboys earlier in the week but there's no way I can now with all that has happened.

Call me a homer but I see the the 'boys going to LA and putting a whippin' on them... Zeke's going to run well and we will take this game 31-21. CD has 2 TD's, Coop 1 and Zeke 1 on the goal.

I predict the Cowboys lose if they don't put at least 30 on the scoreboard. They haven't won a game without 30+ since 2018, which is almost absurd.

PREDICTION: We will look good EARLY, won't get much pressure, penalties and stalled drives in the red zone. ZEKE may finally break a run over 3 yards, going to be a close game as usual

They also haven’t won a road game against a playoff team since 2018

Without turnovers, this game will go by how well the backup offensive right tackle stands up to a potent pass rush.

I hope that the Cowboys start strong and stay ahead. If not, then the Chargers take it.

I d like their chances a little more if Zack Martin moved to RT. Steele vs Bosa without help is a bad matchup for the Cowboys. At this point I see at least a one score Chargers win.

This is a weird game. Both teams struggling with some injuries— Dallas obviously the most. But still some matchups that favor Dak and the WRs— and Zeke should have more room to run.

The NFL is hard to predict. On paper— Dallas should lose. Sometimes adversity causes teams to focus and play above their talent threshold for a game or two.

I think that happens in this one. Dak and Zeke lead the offense to success behind a solid outing from the OL— and they win a high scoring game:

our defense is able to get pressure on herbert and does a nice job on their run game.

cowboys are able to cash in some red zone trips....and zeke is able to extend some possessions with a solid day running the ball.
our pass game and winning the turn over battle are the difference in the end.
chargers are good.
cowboys prove to be better.
