You can be a fan and also a realist and in this case I am looking at the 5 games Dak finished last year. How many did they win of those great offensive numbers they put on the board?Without turnovers, this game will go by how well the backup offensive right tackle stands up to a potent pass rush.
I hope that the Cowboys start strong and stay ahead. If not, then the Chargers take it.
I'm a fan, so....
Dallas 31
Chargers 27
So we are going to allow more points to the Chargers than we did to the Bucs?38-28 Chargers. Our D is soooo bad.
They need to hire someone who can evaluate defensive talent because this team can't...
Sure would, except they can't. The Chargers weren't a playoff team last year. Then now would be a good time to change that.
Why not? We don't have Tank or Gregory, and I wouldn't give great odds on getting three meaningful turnovers again. So we are going to allow more points to the Chargers than we did to the Bucs?
I'm picking us to lose, but that's in part because I think the Chargers will be good this year. I think they'll beat the Eagles and Giants too, and they've already beaten WFT. So I actually think this game has almost no effect on our playoff odds (if we lose--it's a big boost if we win). So it has nothing to do with "tanking the season."This Chargers team went 7-9 last year and only scored 20 points last week on a Defense that allowed the Giants and Garrett to score 29. We are not talking the defending SB champs here. Their QB is going to be really good and they have decent WR.,. but I think we will be ok here. I get it, we are down our DE for the game and our RT spot could be an issue but Steele has experience this year and got stronger so let's see how he does before deciding to tank the season.
Cowboys 31 Chargers 17

I also think Dallas will be a better team later in the season than now; the defense needs some time to bake and we have injured guys who are coming back. New injuries can of course ruin everything, but barring that, I think late-season Dallas could be really competitive.
