I’m not typically on board with players that are head cases, but Sternberger’s issues seem to stem from addiction.
From everything I’ve read.. the Cowboys have one of the best programs/facilities to help players with substance abuse. Just look at how Randy Gregory has turned his life around, albeit his substance of choice is more socially accepted, yet debated. That said, if Dallas could sign, stash, and help a fellow texan to recover.. they may be rewarded down the road. At the very least.. they would help the young man rebound in life. Just my 2 cents.

He's already had two suspensions -- that, in itself, isn't a very good recommendation. Add two concussions, as well.

Dak was to charged. After the draft he lucked out that a judge dismissed the DUI charge.

Has Dak had two suspensions? I doubt it. If so, maybe they dismissed that too? I doubt that, also.

Dak had his before the nfl draft at college. What other suspension are you talking about?

I'm talking about the two suspensions that Sternberger had. Read the OP. Dak has never been suspended to my knowledge.

But not much lost if you sign him to PS
See what’s going on with him
We will be losing a TE next year
We aren’t gonna keep Schultz and jarwin on second contracts
But two concussions and substance abuse are not really good signs

Make that two concussions -- my bad. The Packers didn't see fit to retain him, due to red flags. On top of that, his performance wasn't good. If we decide to acquire him you'll have that to satisfy you. Let's see if that happens. I doubt it will.

Red flags? He fell asleep at the wheel while enebriated, as I said before; Dak had the same exact situation before the nfl draft. Packers also claim to want to put him on the practice squad.

Was Dak ever suspended? Not to my knowledge, he wasn't. Sternberger was, though.

It happened before the draft. But it still happened. Why the heck would you give more weight to Goddell's suspensions?

Why would you choose to ignore it -- it's a red flag in my book. If the Packers claim him on their PS, this conversation is pointless, anyway.

I'm not ignoring it. I'm pointing out that our franchise qb did the same thing. It doesn't mean the guy is a horrible person. It means he made a mistake. Singular mistake. Not multiple like you kept trying to make out.

Ok, you just keep liking him and I'll keep disliking what I've seen, so far. He'll either be retained by the Pack or someone else might claim him. I'm hoping if it's us, we won't be sorry. I still don't have to approve of him just because you do, though. That's my prerogative, I believe. No hard feelings.
