I dunno if it was Hurts or their offensive coaches, but it's pretty hilarious that they have multiple good weapons at TE and we sent our lumbering plodders out at LB this game, and their passing game seemed weirdly more interested in throwing at Diggs.

Like, imagine watching tape of Tom Brady picking on Brown over and over, or the tape of that amazing Diggs pick in week 2, and thinking, "Boy, the problem here is these teams aren't throwing at Diggs often enough."

If we played a team who is serious about abusing the linebacker mismatches we choose to serve up by putting pure goalline linebackers out there in every-down situations, we'd have been in trouble. Christian McCaffrey is ruled out for next week, right? I wouldn't want to watch Jaylon trying to cover him.

Might wanna check the box score...I would put money on it....for the number of snaps he gets...I bet he has one of the highest percentages of making plays.
I may have not noticed a couple good plays from LVE tonight. You may be right there.

Regardless though, I don’t think either of them have the type of play style mentality that Quinn is wanting. One or both will be gone after this season

yep , Jaylon was awful tonight ,. look at the tape .

Jaylon continues to contribute very little on defense. He is slow and stiff, lacks acceleration and doesn't read parts before they happen that's why he is always making tackles after the fact.

that was one play.
There where two other plays where Jaylon allowed Hurts only 2 yards and another for 1 or 0 yards.
Don’t cherry pick.

people and especially ours own fans still hating on Jay.on and he had a decent game.
Even the announcers said he was.

Some fans are very stupid and just hate
I feel like Jaylon is being put in a lot better situations this year. He did give some stuff up, but he also made a few plays

I was thinking the other day, hey my life is not perfect I need someone to blame. After hours of debate I decided I had no one to blame. So I contacted this Jewish producer in Hollywood and we decided to make a movie about my life called the "Imperfect Life" Should be in theaters soon.

LVE at least tries to attack the ball carrier when there are OL around. Jaylon waits until the runner comes to him or chase them when there aren't any OL around. It's so obvious, Jaylon doesn't want to mix it up with the OLinemen most of the time.

I think the vitriol aimed at both players is more than they deserve but they are both average at best and no longer important to the unit as a whole.

So what exactly did LVE and Jaylon do bad tonight? Did not think they played bad at all. But i didn’t just watch them specifically so maybe im missing it?

Once we got a comfortable lead, I found my eyes fixating on Jaylon. It was mostly his typical antics:

- a lot of getting washed out of plays and not providing any resistance to someone trying to block him

-continuously trailing plays and piling on at the end (in hopes of getting partial credit for a tackle?)

- and most frequently, him bunny hopping in the middle of the field while assessing the play — all while the play is happening around him and he ends up jogging toward the spot where the tackle occurs. Lots of indecision and general looks of being lost

FWIW, I don’t have a personal agenda against Jaylon. I do hate how shameless he is with his self-promotion, but I genuinely loved watching him and LVE tear it up in 2018. But his play has taken a 180 since then. Nowadays, we are praising him just for making an ordinary tackle. He just doesn’t seem capable of being a difference maker anymore.

Yeah I’m in the same boat I don’t study the film and if I did I probably wouldn’t even know what I’m looking at lol….to the amateur eye I thought the defense as a whole played well.

I think the problem is that we all didn't realize how slow Jalen really is until we drafted Parsons. Parsons speed is freakishly fast and makes Jalen look like a 300 lbs. Defensive tackle.

I get it. I’m not saying he had a great game but I thought he made a few solid plays.
