If you can find a way to get him his money this year you do it. Idk if you can restructure other deals but it’s worth the risk. Really a no brainer. If it turns out he elects to play elsewhere so be it.

I get what you’re saying- But…For a 12-13 game rental? I wouldn’t do that on a guy who may still be recovering from an injury and who may not work out financially going beyond this year.

I just saw the update from bleacher report that says Gilmore would like to join the packers as he’s close to a few players on there.

or is this strategy to get someone to jump in and sign him for more ?

This is worth a 1 yr risk. Put your best money offer out there. If he takes less to go somewhere else so be it.
