Moore becoming HC would be like Garrett in 2010

Zeke is running better because he how sits in on OLine meetings and QB meetings and WR meetings. he’s said he does it to know what everyone else is doing to help him be in better position when he’s called to help.

So, he waited until year 6 of his career to start doing this......... and the improvement in his running just happened coincidentally after a game where Pollard had more touches and played better than him.

Sometimes it takes a coach getting fired for him to take a step back and examine what he's being doing objectively and deciding to make some changes.

Sure. And coaches aren’t the only ones. Many of us need the occasional wake up call.

Perhaps Mike got too comfortable. Getting fired from a job you love would be a wake up call for just about anybody.

all of these guys have had much longer coaching experiences.....McVay was coaching for a long while for different position before he ascended. Peyton was actually OC in NY before he got canned by Fassel (idiot). Kingsbury was head coach in college for several years...before he got to NFL. same with Rhule.

Moore has all of 3 years coaching experience.....there is a lot to learn......

mcvay had like 5 years of being an "offensive assistant" and wide receivers and tight ends coach. nothing very substantial, and certainly not a "long while" and kellen has effectively been working as a qb coach for years now, just in uniform.

You know how we delight, as fans, every time there's been a story in the last year or two about how fresh and innovate Kellen is as an offensive coach, because we know Jason Garrett's offenses never would have done whatever good thing Kellen's offense just did?

Go ask a Packers fan about the flood of those exact stories out of Green Bay ever since they shoved McCarthy out a trap door.

He was their Garrett. He was old and stale and the game had passed him by.

Losing Kellen's offense and going to a McCarthy offense is a deal-breaker to me. It's curious to me that you'd simultaneously bash Garrett while also advocating for us to double-down on a similarly stale coach.

Kliff Kingsbury seems to be doing alright.

If I believed MM would take over the offense, I would be scared too.

But I seriously doubt that happens. If KM leaves (very slim chance IMO) I think MM brings in someone to run the offense. Hopefully that person is much more a Quinn hire than Nolan hire, but I think the last thing MM wants to do is take on more responsibility than what he has now.

Call it a hunch.

lmao!

This is a HOPE AND A PRAYER, not a hunch.

the one thing all of these guys have is 10+ years coaching as an OC, Position Coach or Head Coach or some combination of all 3. moore is going to be good in 3 years. if he does not wait and learn moore (pun) he’s going to be zack taylor of the bengals or the other number of coaches who became head coaches too early and ruined there careers.

Zack Taylor???

LOL

In 2007-2010, Garrett was one of the hottest OCs in football and many Boys fans wanted him to replace Wade. He did, and.......well, you know.

Moore may not be the same as the Clapper but his OC skills by no means translate to being a good HC either.
There is no way to know, unless he gets a shot.
Question is , will it be here or elsewhere??????

I don't disagree. but all of them have to go through learning curves. it just depends on how quickly and usually it happens through games, seasons etc. those can't be rushed or accelerated. it happens weekly and seasonally.

Moore is a good OC, doesn't mean he is going to be a good HC, doesn't mean he won't. doesn't mean he is ready. one thing for sure, garret got similar results with lesser players in 2016. not saying Moore is worse than garrett, so don't read into it......just saying there is a lot to be learned about Moore as yet. is he a HC candidate in the league.....successful coordinators always are. HC is more about leadership than anything else

Maybe.

I'm curious on why you think MM would takeover the offense if KM was to leave?

Everyone should hope he does not.

But like Aikman and others have reported, MM regretted giving up play calling duties in GB to placate Rogers and he swore he would never do that again if given anothe HC chance.

You just know that MM is chomping at the bit to take controls of this talented offense and run it into mediocrity like he did his last 3 seasons with Packers.

MM record during that period with the great Aaron Rodgers and his elite WR corps was 51-50.

Anyone else getting Clapper vibes yet?

Zeke was elite his 1st 3 seasons.

He leads the NFL in total yards since he entered the league.

Is that you're idea of underperforming?

Your standards are ridiculous.

This is random, but I just came across some crazy trivia on Sean McVay

He was 2004 Georgia 4A HS Offensive Player of the Year (Quarterback)
Runner-up was some jag named Calvin Johnson

Sure he did SAID what he said, but his ACTIONS were just slightly different.

Why accept the Dallas position where he allowed a 2nd Year, and more importantly, unproven OC keep the controls of the offense when he could have forced the issue and/or not taken the job in the first place?

I'm sure the response would be, "well Jerry forced KM on MM", right? If that is true, then add the fact that the owner of the team seems to like the "walk around" head coach who may just not want the HC to focus on just one side of the ball.

So either MM, who said he would never allow another person to run the offense of a team he would head coach again, voluntarily allowed KM to keep control of the offense. Or the owner forced MM to give up control of the offense. In any case, I don't see MM "chomping at the bit to take controls of this talented offense" and even if he was, I don't see Jerry allowing it to happen.

But hey, since my opinion does not matter, I try to be optimistic for things I have absolutely no control over.

MM also said that he studied analytics in depth and tracked EVERY play for every Cowboys game too.

He admitted that was far from truth.

What he says and does are not trustworthy.

That's what I want in my leaders. SMH

Cool. Still not sure that MM is chomping at the bit to take over the offense, and I have yet to see any evidence of that IN DALLAS. But cool.
