KM is so good, look at the amazing job he did with Dalton last year …

(oops)

Top offense last season before Dak injured, even more prolific than THIS season.

Andy boy pooped the bed, just own it already Mrs. Dalton.

If KM leaves, I think either Philbin or McAdoo will be the next OC. In fact, McAdoo probably was brought in to learn the offense incase KM left next year.
KM might take few of the coaches with him by giving them a promotion on a new team. I can see him take Nussmeier as his OC.

Considering McCarthy is the HC and an offensive one to add. McCarthy has called his own plays in the past for years and had top offenses.

Stephen could not say anything differently and if Moore did leave for another opportunity it would probably be McCarthy calling the plays.

If fans believe McCarthy has no input on the offense or anything this team does before and during games, they might want to rethink those thoughts.

This is actually the second time he's addressed this. The first time he pretty acknowledged we'll probably lose Kellen, saying they wanted to take the advantage of him while he's here.

Translate - Kellen is gone. We are cheap and so we will make the QB coach the new OC.

The "next man up" mantra is nothing but a coping mechanism to make everyone feel better about losing important personnel.

No one ever says "next man up" for backup players or assistant position coaches because there is less of a perceived loss.

With the talent this team has, it can win without Kellen but his departure would mean the team losing the insurance his play calling provides that helps cover for player mistakes on offense, defense and special teams as well as coaching mistakes made at key points in the game.

I think Jerry and Stephen know that Kellen is more important to the team than McCarthy (I do not dislike him, but what does he do really?) and I will not be surprised if they fire McCarthy and promote Kellen.

I can also see Jerry and Stephen trying to convince Kellen to wait one more year to see if the Cowboys head coaching position becomes available after next season.

They've kept Will McClay. Houston wanted him as GM a few years ago and there were rumors of interest by other teams.

If Garrett leaves it will be an NFL coaching gig with a young stud quarterback.
