First with the Broncos sending Von Miller to the Rams. Now today it sounds like OBJ will be released and sign with the Packers or Bucs “superteam”. I also wouldn’t count out OBJ signing with the Rams as well. NFC is ridiculous this year.
OBJ is a cancer. I hope he goes to one of those teams so he can destroy that locker room as well.

Are the Bucs rumored to be interested?

His whole beef in Cleveland is over his lack of targets. Why would he be OK going to an offense and being fourth or fifth fiddle?

The Packers make sense from a personnel standpoint, but I also don’t see OBJ’s and Rodgers’ personalities meshing at all.
Championship possibilities.

If OBJ signs with anyone it will be a team that needs him. The Raiders are probably the favorite as of now.

There's a reason OBJ has already worn out his welcome with two teams. Let's just say he isn't a net gain for clubhouse culture.

That's okay. We'll screw them in the Super Bowl.

obj on the pack is the only scenario i'm worried about. opposite adams, and with A-rod able to pull production from the mascot.... seems like it could be a nightmare

I'm hearing 49ers, Saints, and Seahawks as possible destinations

And if either GB or TB bring in OBJ it’s because they are worried about Dallas and possibly getting into a shootout in the playoffs…and with our D significantly getting better we are the front runners….

No matter which team OBJ signs with, he will be cancer to that team. So I hope it is one of our NFC opponents. Just saying. ;)

OBJ has always struck me as a TO for whatever team he is on. Talented, but the team isn't better as whole with him on it.

I think the rumor of OBJ to the Raiders might be the best. The just cut Ruggs so they have a need. They are in contention for their division. Seems like a good fit.

If I was a betting man, I'd place money on him ending up with the Raiders too.......seems they both need each other right now.

This.

Despite being a character himself, Arod can calm OBJ down and get him the ball. GB is my only oh no situation

From last year:
https://www.espn.com/blog/cleveland...r-off-without-obj-but-baker-mayfield-might-be
According to ESPN Stats & Information, Mayfield’s numbers have actually been slightly better over the last two seasons when Beckham has been on the sidelines.

With Beckham on the field, Mayfield has completed just 59.9% of his throws and averaged just 7.2 yards per attempt. With Beckham off the field, Mayfield has connected on 70.4% of his passes and averaged 7.7 yards per throw.

Even when Beckham had been on the field, Mayfield was consistently more efficient targeting other receivers. Mayfield’s completion percentage targeting other receivers this season is 78.6%, with an off-target rate of just 10.7% and QBR of 96.2, according to ESPN Stats & Info. But targeting Beckham, Mayfield’s off-target percentage rose to 28.2% while his QBR dropped to 73.7. Mayfield’s completion rate to Beckham, meanwhile, was just 59.9%.

In fact, over the last two seasons, Mayfield and Beckham have the worst completion success rate (55.6%) of any duo in the NFL (with at least 100 attempts).

This year:
https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl...dell-beckham-browns/1em6ii6kcfjx2z9ayu58604ja
It would make sense that without one of his top receivers, Mayfield would play a bit more conservatively.

And to an extent, he does. Based on the data, he attempts a deep pass only 18.8 percent of the time without Beckham on the field. A slight change, but a change nonetheless.

What's most notable is perhaps his completion percentage and the dearth of interceptions. Mayfield completes 50.8 percent of his deep ball passes and has just one interception when he attempts those deep throws without Beckham on the field. He also has three touchdowns on those deep balls. Based on the rates, just 1.6 percent of Mayfield's deep throws are picked off without Beckham on the field while 7.3 percent of his deep throws with Beckham out there are intercepted.

Data from ProFootballFocus would also suggest that Mayfield is a better passer when Beckham is not out there. Based on their data, his big-time throw percent was a career-high in 2018, before Beckham arrived, at 7.7 percent. His second-best season was 2020, when Beckham was out for half the year with a torn ACL, as Mayfield had a 6.1 percent rate. His lowest came in Beckham's only full year with the team, 2019, when he had a rate of 5 percent.

The turnover-worthy throws also go up when Beckham is on the field. Per ProFootballFocus' data, Mayfield's lowest turnover-worthy play rate has come this season at 2.8 percent, with his second-lowest being in 2020 at 3 percent. His rookie season had just a 3.1 percent rate. His worst came, again, in Beckham's only full year with the team, when 3.7 percent of Mayfield's plays were turnover worthy.

I don't watch the Browns often, but stats do show Mayfield is better with all his receivers outside of OBJ and throws less picks when he isn't on the field/being targeted. Is it just some communication issue or is OBJ no longer that good?

I'm not sure, but I saw a clip with OBJ running free several times and Baker flat out missing him. Maybe the issue is OBJ coming open deep and Baker simply not being able to make those throws. He has more success throwing underneath and playing conservative with his other WRS. You would think the coaches would adjust and find a way to get OBJ the ball where Baker can put it. Makes me think of Moss in Oakland. By the time he went to New England most though he was done. Not that OBJ is anywhere near Moss level.
