Urban has played the Nose and at DE.

He's played there at the NT, but he's not a NT.
You don't see 285 lb NTs since the decades of Jay Ratliff and Jim Burt.

Oddly when he was healthy, i'd notice Urban, ..and rookie Bohanna in even on certain passing downs.
It's like Quinn goes and stays with a rotation regardless of downs and distances ,..

No matter where Urban lines up, he is still a good two down run player and he is missed. If he was playing DE last week, you can bet there would of been less outside runs to his side.

Prior to camp, the Cowboys projected starting lineman was expected to be: DLaw, Gregory at DE and Gallimore, Urban starting in the middle. All 4 are now out and might be out still for awhile. No matter the opponents they face, must waver the storm. Everyone is going to need to step up, not just the defense, but offense/special teams as well.

mr Cowboyny---we will survive this storm and come out victors

Hill is going to be active. Hope he picks up where he left off last year. He was playing both the pass and the run well.
This years defense fits his skill set better also.

On the bright side, Osa and Hamilton have picked up a lot of slack at DT, Parsons can rush from DE, and Armstrong is having a good year.

Those 4 are backups are better than some of our starting dlines over the last decade.

You forgot one very important player..a player who is having a great season for Atlanta....RB Cordarrelle Patterson....Dude will run right over the Cowboys DL.....Only chance the Cowboys have is to control the clock and score on every drive.....Atlanta will play a Bronco's style game forcing the Cowboys to beat them.

73 carries 278 yards 3.8 ypc 1 td's longest run 14 yards

Not exactly tearing it up. He is more a pass catching threat (47 catches 349 yards 5 TD's) than a running threat....just like the rest of the Falcons offense.

Now do the Mike Davis numbers.

Now do the Mike Davis numbers.

84 carries 271 yards 3.2 ypc 1 TD

Again, not much of a threat per say.

As a team, the Falcons rushing attack:

190 carries 643 yards 3.4 ypc 4 TD's

Compare that to the passing game stats:

209 catches 2,157 yards 10.3 ypc 15 TD's

The biggest threats the Falcons have going is TE Pitts and RB Patterson pass catching out of the backfield. With Ridley out the Falcons offense isn't as much of a threat as past teams Dallas has played.

The Atlanta defense is giving up almost 28 points/game while giving up 123 yards/game against the run (4.4 ypc) so Dallas needs to focus on pounding the ball.

Depth along the DL is showing better then the backup OL last season. Both Osa/Hamilton might even has a chance to become long-term starters.

Let's hope, who would of thought they just lose 1 game thus far without DLaw.

yes i agree...and we just ran the table against Atlanta without Gregory who has been on fire ...i just am so impressed how our DC "adjusts' in game not just half time or during the week

Dak threw for over 300 yds...2 TD's..almost 80% accuracy...all in 3 quarters....i think we are playoff excited...been a long time since we really felt this way...i mean yes in 2016, 2018 we went to

playoffs....but in 2016 even our 11 game win streak did not give me confidence for post season...and 2018 so happy to win wild card game...but this year feels different

The Cowboys are going to get run on today.

if someone from another planet visited earth and watched last weeks and this weeks game with cowboys they might think we are scizophrenic or something....but i truly believe the lay off Dak had

played a big part and when we lost that blocked punt it was over....but credit to coaches and players to deal with it and move on.....Dak gets better and better and better every year...back in 2017

i was freaking out about his terrible footwork and not moving weight from back to front foot ( where all the power comes from...weight shift and hip torque )...and he corrected it all and grown so much

wiser in pre and post snap decision making.....Dak laid a 40-burger in only 3 quarters...and defense only gave up one FG....i have to start giving credit to Mike McCarthey....every team can have a bad

game but not every team comes back following week on total fire as though they have never lost a game
