I think the offense will rebound. Defense needs people to step up. They’ve been living off turn overs.

just need a few key stops to allow the offense to maintain a lead.

just curious how they handle coverage over the middle when parsons is rushing the passer.

No, not worried at all. Dallas will crush Atlanta and all you guys ready to jump off a cliff can go back into hiding for a few more weeks. Only took 8 games this year
Crazy how little equity a 6-game win streak gives these days. Did we expect the team to go 16-1? So many sky is falling opinions and it makes zero sense.

Even if they lose. They'll still be 6-3 and in control by 2 or more games in the division.

So we're not in panic territory regardless.

If they lose it will be two straight losses and next will be KC on the road. Good luck trying to come out of a tailspin against Pat Mahomes and company. Even if we win on Sunday I think the game against KC will be a high scoring shootout. It makes no difference that KC hasn’t looked good this season they still have a lot of playmakers. After the beat down against Denver the Cowboys need a win against Atlanta. They have to prove that last Sunday was just a blip and that they’re back on track. With Gregory out this could get real dicey. The 2008 Cowboys started off 6-1 and missed the playoffs. The division still looks to be so bad that 9 or 10 wins may take the NFC East. If the Cowboys are going to have any chance to do something special this season they need to right the ship on Sunday against Atlanta. If we lose I think the wheels could begin to come off.

Have we all just written off and forgot about the last 25 years?

like everyone is supposed to be so sold on a team that has shown nothing for quarter of a century, a generation of fans if you will.... For myself, it is week to week but I can tell you this - it will take a WHOLE lot more than 8 weeks for me to be sold. I have no blame for anyone who is still doubting, and they should. Time for this team to prove it every week and if it turns out to be a superbowl winning team, then I guess we will all know that at time of superbowl.

Good point!
Hurts that the whole starting defensive line is out.

It’s scary to think what could happen in the next couple of weeks with no pass rush. After Atlanta we have KC on the road. Using Parsons as an edge rusher takes away from his sideline to sideline playmaking ability as a linebacker. He can be taken out of a lot plays just pinning his ears back rushing the QB. The Cowboys have a pretty big dilemma.

We just got blown out in every phase of the game AT HOME whilst having a battered and confused O-line and a decimated defense, yet everyone in this thread is high and mighty thinking we’ll win against the Falcons. What delusions . I agree with OP. This game will likely be close and hard to win with the offense losing a step and the defensive line essentially being made of backups.

Injuries? I'm more worried about how awful we played across the board. I want to see a huge bounce back...not some squeaker at home against the Falcons. One more man down shouldn't matter if we are as good as I thought we were prior to Sunday.

At 6-1 we didn’t think it could go either way...we were seeing threads saying Dakota was the future MVP and gonna cruise to the East Championship

......what a difference a week makes....
I always expect as much.
Such is why I don't make predictions.

Well, here's the usual. This time it's real.. too many key injuries. Falcons beat a good team... thoughts

We will crush the Falcons. Those are my thoughts. Any other questions?

I think Quinn knows what their offensive players are good at & what messes them up. That should help counter missing DLaw & Gregory a little bit.
We haven’t had D Law all year. Gregory will be missed.
Hopefully, the coaches will have very good game plan. They will help put our players in position to make plays. I didn’t see a lot of that vs Denver.

Each player needs to just do their job. Last week to many players out of position. Example: if a blitz is called the DB’s need to cover tight and be ready for the ball to come out quick.

I hear Superbowl talk here.
I hear we have an elite QB.
A team like the Falcons should be easy- peasy for an SB contender with an Elite QB at the helm.
