Learn to read buddy. I said post Parcells. Had Parcells stayed I’m sure we’d be not talking about how Romo couldn’t win the big one.

Also, “going Hollywood” doesn’t even mean anything. Was Romo acting? Did he give up going to practice, getting better because he was focusing on a movie career?

Romo had twenty five fourth quarter comeback victories. He was hardly a choker and was a leader on the field.

Leadership...chemistry...(or their lack thereof) are all just buzzwords that aren't given more import than they when victories or losses happen.

And going to Cabo had zero to do with the loss. That’s just talking head bull**** that was given as an impotent reason post facto.

You Romo haters are so annoying. Romo’s lack of success has nothing to do with Dak’s existence. At all. A SB victory is an ORGANIZATIONAL effort, not just a player effort. Plenty of average QBs, e.g., Trent Dilfer, Mark Rypien, Doug Williams, etc., have won SBs, and a number of great ones, e.g., Dan Marino, Dan Fouts, etc., haven't.

How many bad coaches have won SB's? I mean its hard for me to even say the Iggles SB winning coach was bad....One could almost say you need good players AND a Good coach to win one...crazy stuff...

PS: I joke about Switzer..for sure but if you know the real story you would actually know how he was a major part of them winning and how he got the job and why he really came to town and then left...

Romo and crew enjoyed being famous more than winning. Hated his lackadaisical “
golly gee wiz” persona he carried into the huddle. Romo wasn’t serious about trying to win big games until he realized his career is nearly over.

lol...I just laugh at you for this statement! Romo got his azz kicked every game for this team of YOURS.

Probably should have entitled it This Team vs Last 20 years Teams to avoid the Dak vs Romo %#*$# war. :oldcouple:

As everyone says, Dallas Cowboys QB, the highest stress position in all of sports.

Take a look at Romo's playoff stats from his early years. He didn't do so well. Clearly, it was not the Defense that came up short in those games. It was the Offense.
Those 2007 playoff stats were incredibly misleading.
Just flip ONE PLAY.
Crayton makes the catch a perfectly thrown TD pass = Dallas wins, add a TD, subtract end- of-game-time-up must force into endzone pick.
You go to 90s QB rating just like that....and more importantly, get the win. Crayton makes the catch and it changes everything.

Plus, that was the best playoff defense we've played since the 90s.....they got on a roll and shut everyone in their path down. Dallas offense did better than the 19-0 Patriots did vs them. It's all relative.

Not sure why we're here rehashing all this stuff.

Would prefer to look forward and pull for Dak and the Cowboys

You named 1 play. The Crayton drop. That's it. You forgot the throws that Romo missed, including the INT to end the game.

Ridiculous.

Sadly, Romo was the team while Jerry’s ego got in the way for his boy Garrett.
Dak was hamstrung by the same coach. I dont understand the hate Romo gets because the guy LITERALLY broke his back for the Cowboys. Look at what 2 years under a real HC has done for Dak's development. I will never forget the Matt Cassel quote of him coming in and not knowing who to speak to for help. That was very telling for me.

When I hear this analysis of that 4th down int it just regurgetates what the typical ESPN bubblegum fan says. All BS and no substance. Anyone who actually watched that play knew it was 4th down and although there wasn't anyone open it had to be thrown into the end zone. Common guys. Be better than that.

No kidding...Dak never missed a throw. Romo is so in your little head, it has to hurt...like I've told you before, is always, well, Romo, Romo, Romo, Romo. Did you watch the game he played in? If he was as bad as you say he was, why watch? You are nothing but a one way street.

It’s funny he mentions how players take on attitude of the coach. One knock I had on Dak early on wasn’t thinking he wasn’t legit but that his sound bytes were annoyingly JG like with catch phrases that meant nothing. I haven’t heard those in a long while snd he seems more his own man etc

Hmm, never though about that, but you are so right. Dak used to sound just like Garret at his pressers. lol.

Now it seems that coach MM is instilling his tough mentality instead of playing grab azz with the players. Dak gets up and answers his questions with substance...none of this, "Well, we be stacking good plays on good days."

The Cowboys are real good when they’re clicking on offense and the defense is forcing turnovers. If the offense is a tick off and we’re not getting any takeaways it can go the other way on us. Our best games this season have been when we’ve gotten multiple turnovers.

It has been years and years and more years since I've seen the special teams block a punt.

Two so far...or was it three?

all you need to know is Aikman has never ever said that dak is already better than him. he said that about Romo.

"There's this idea they've accomplished something just by playing for the Cowboys. They get caught up in it because the Cowboys are so popular. If you play decent for Dallas, you're automatically a star because of how popular they are. If you're not put in your place properly by the people in charge, you get an inflated opinion. I sense that is what has happened to some of these previous Dallas teams. I don't feel this way about this group. At least that's what I gather when I talk to them and I watch them. Until you go do it, you haven't done anything"

this has been our biggest problem
