Tell Chris Jones....blocking him is a simple job.
I wouldn't be mad of we took a left guard in the first. Then a left tackle in the second.Defense was excellent today.
Know what happened? Tyron Smith is THAT important to this team.
This is what elite teams do all the time. We started the game down a LT and WR and couldn’t move the ball. I could understand some inefficiencies but a no show? We just showed the nation that we don’t belong in the “top team” discussion. We are above average and probably missing the playoffs. We had a real chance to move in position as the one seed, so now it's time to focus on parts of our team and getting healthy. This loss isn't the end of the world, but we need to start stringing together some wins. We need to discover how to move the ball effectively without our guns, this is what New England does all the time.
If only we had a real franchise QB.
Oh you bet there are other players who failed but a franchise QB elevates the team. He makes those around him better.
We don't have that guy.
Boys played like crap.
Refs called a crap game.
Both can be / are true.
If we are honest for a minute, how many of us really had this as a win at the beginning of the season, anyway? Not like we played the Lions or something. This is one of the best teams in the league, and we hung in there until the end.
How much of that gets called from New York, I don't know. Guys randomly dropping catchable balls, and all that. The NFL really does resemble the WWF.
Let's not go that far, our receivers will be back, and hopefully Smith will be back until we can draft his replacement. This is what elite teams do all the time. We started the game down a LT and WR and couldn’t move the ball. I could understand some inefficiencies but a no show? We just showed the nation that we don’t belong in the “top team” discussion. Amen to this. Goodness people need to back off the ledge. I mean we lost to a good team in a very tough environment. It's one loss in a long season. Just regroup and get ready for Thanksgiving. Every time we lose a game people act like the season is over and every play on the team all of sudden sucks. Fans are so silly. If we are honest for a minute, how many of us really had this as a win at the beginning of the season, anyway? Not like we played the Lions or something. This is one of the best teams in the league, and we hung in there until the end.
So....what folks?
We pack it in at 7-3 because we couldn't beat a team on the road that played in the last two SB?
Ok....
Nope....we don't. He used to have that "X" factor with his legs. Now that is gone...he refuses to run after his leg injury....making him one dimensional. Add in his inaccuracies...and his brittle nerves...he just can't elevate a team to beat a good team. Signing him to that contract was by far Jerry's worst move as a GM.If only we had a real franchise QB.
Oh you bet there are other players who failed but a franchise QB elevates the team. He makes those around him better.
We don't have that guy.
And to paraphrase the late, great Lou Rawls --- "If they coulda woulda shoulda"Time for the homers to tell us about ifs, buts, candy and nuts.
The Cowboys couldn't block anybody today.
