Switch to 3-4 just for Parsons

The Cowboys use a hybrid 3-4 now. Parsons stands up when the Cowboys rush him off the edge. That's why you see Carlos Watkins, Osa Odighizuwa, and Chauncey Golston lining up both inside and outside. The goal is to move Parsons around and make offenses account for him every single snap.

When he drops back there is almost zero pass rush

The pass rush was decent last night, Tank had 6 pressures by himself.

Plus I think they were more worried about keeping their rush lanes in order to keep Hill in the pocket. He wasn't going to beat Dallas with his arm.

With Gregory, Tank, and Gallimore back they will have a ton of flexibility with Parsons.

Parsons needs to be on that D line….all the time…

HUGE difference when he’s not up at the line wrecking havoc..
No reason to break what’s not broken
Next year depending on who we add or lose I trust Quinn to find the best way to use him
Let’s see how he gets Dlaw, Gregory and Micah all going after the QB before we start blowing things up
We play a lot of a hybrid now

Can’t wait to see Gregory, Dlaw and micah going after a less run oriented QB
Could be a very long or short day for that QB lol

Parsons as a full-time edge rusher will wear him down. He is a playmaker at LB too...a sack isn't the only way to make a big play. If you thought last night was great, he actually played most of the game at LB. He is too good all-around. Making him rush the passer every snap would be a waste of his overall ability. He is still a big threat to get sacks in his current hybrid role while also being a force as a LB too

See this was what I was afraid of. These idiots are actually stupid enough to scale back Micah pass rushing because Lawrence and soon Gregory are back.

I really like Parsons. I'd like to draft another one next year to replace LVE.

Imagine the chaos and destruction two of them would cause.

disagree and even parsons disagrees hes been asked that in interviews. move him around same as usual.

NOT not if you dont have the rest of the pieces and Gregory and Tank are not 3-4 wide 9 or stand up types. Its why Nolan failed last year tried that would back off it until too late, I get MP is here now we have some new players but you have to have more then one player that fits a scheme..hes doing well enough in the 4-3

why change it?

odd fan thoughts and all wildly off base..let the coaches figure that out..MP can be as successful as 4-3 roving LB and pass rushing specialist as part time DE..

no need to change the defense..

Yeah, you won't get many arguing with that. Problem is, go ahead and point him out. We kind of got lucky getting him at #12.
