Yep I agree pollard is better now and has been. I know zeke can block but I agree sit zeke
Pollard is only better than a hurt zeke. Zeke showed what he was early in the year when healthy. He had back to back 100 yard Games. Then he hurt his knee. Pollard wouldn’t even touch the field with the same injuries.

Did I say Tony was useless? What the hell dude....that is some unfair bllsht
Man I don’t think this internet thing is for you. I never said those were your words those are my words. You get to worked up over this **** man.

but I’ll rephrase it for you in a different way. Just because pollard isn’t as good as a blocker does not mean he can’t block. I’ve also seen zeke miss blocks.

You also act like it’s a foregone conclusion that if pollard gets more snaps Dak gets hurt.

Right now the value pollard has over zeke in the run game is a larger gap than zeke and his blocking ability over pollard

I also am not saying to sit zeke forever but it’s obvious he laboring and pollard gives us more without a doubt perhaps for the stretch run zeke will be better if we sit him now

perhaps you’re right but those of you who believe pollard isn’t tough and can’t run between the tackles haven’t watched the cowboys play because that simply isn’t true and pollard was averaging more yards per carry even prior to zekes injury

Elliott is still a better and complete RB, Pollard is a great change of pace. If Pollard was a better RB he would be starting. He's not. And unless Zeke can't play, I don't see anything changing. Be happy we have two complimentary RBs.

I sincerely hope the 10 days help Zeke get right.. or as close to right as possible without a month off. And we really need to sort out that offensive line mess.
We do....with the exception of one play...very nice one!....neither TOny nor Zeke got much more n 4 yards. The o-line and schme is surely broke and needs fixed if we're to do anything.

MAybe not. But.... I don;t get as worked up as you make it out in your head.

But when I talk with people, ESPECIALLY on the internet, I do expect some honesty and sincerity. When you exaggerate a point, you make it look like that is what I am saying. The message and thoughts you get from my comment is that Tony is useless? Never even hinted at such a thing of course he's not.

All I can do is extrapolate the number of times Tony HAS come in....and multiply that by more snaps. I have seen him get totally pancaked....he just isn't built for it like Zeke....few RB's are. Time after time after time....but of course he's missed a few every blocker does. If I am wrong fine....but I still have some measure of respect for the situation and not just good feelies based on Zeke hate.

Fact is...we need both of these guys. We need a running game. And we need Kellen Moore to get his head out of his azz about the need for a real effective and versatile run game.

and all I can do is go by what you tell us over the internet as well. You have repeatedly said if Tony gets more snaps Dak is toast. You have repeatedly defended the thought that pollard being the starter is a catastrophe in the making

truth be told I don’t necessarily think making pollard a bell cow is a good idea but I have no issue switching things up for now as zeke is borderline useless

he’s borderline useless because the line has regressed in run blocking and because he’s hurt but it’s been the better part of 3 years that zeke is home run threat and pollard is and that’s fact

This business that this offense runs through zeke that some want to pimp is garbage. I know go ahead and throw out the win loss record of when Dak has to throw over 30 times and use it against Dak

here is a fact this offense goes as the offensive line goes and as it has regressed so has Daks numbers and zekes number

I still have only seen maybe 1 stat that suggest pollard can block as well as zeke but the eye test tells me that’s fact but it’s not a huge gap

and for the record the sooner this team parts ways with zeke the better

I honestly don’t know what you guys are watching. Especially when what everyone else is watching looks like it’s shot from a cannon and hits his head on the goal post.

You use him like Christian McCaffrey. Simple as that.

He should be the featured back and used this way when Zeke is back as well.

Zeken can be a closer or whatever. Let him have a 2007 MB3 role. But stop taking playmakers off the field for play wasters. Especially when your excuse to be worse is stuff like contracts and blocking. Go sign a fullback.

Not smart.....Pollard is a great change up and compliment....Zeke is in pain, he's not injured and with 10 days rest will be much better.... they BOTH averaged about 3 TDs between the tackles....I'll go with the coaches over the mediots and fans on this one. Dak is already being pressured, image Pollard trying to pass block.....lol

On the contrary Pollard has been the better back for 3 years now. He has earned the right to get featured or at least 50/50 with the hot hand.

With Zeke ailing, its only smart football to rest Zeke.

Just because you dont want to see your hero continue to look dumb.

Pollard can block too. This notion that he cant is completely overblown the Zeke apologists.

Apparently it's overblown in the eyes of the coaches too since they keep doing everything they can to make sure they don't ask Pollard to block and keep trotting Zeke out there at way below 100%. You think they're doing that to a guy they already owe 15 million dollars to next year if Pollard were anywhere near as reliable in blitz pickup? Nobody has ever said Pollard CAN'T block.. He just isn't very good at it. Yet. When he's in there on passing downs teams send the blitz every time because they know he can't pick it up. These opposing DCs watch film too. Pollard needs more touches to be sure.. especially with Zeke as badly hobbled as he is.. But until he can pick up the blitz more consistently he's going to get blitzed off the field a lot. To his credit he's better at it now than he was two years ago and one assumes he will be better still next year. That's the deal.. keep getting better or you're getting worse..

Zeke is still a great cheerleader. Love when he pumps the crowd up.

I know . they got to hold to hold on to something he’s average at everything else

And it looks like Zekes #1 trait is now in jeopardy. His durability and ability to handle a full load.

If he cant even do that anymore he is pretty much useless.

He blocked last game. I guess you didnt watch.

And yah, you and others have said that Pollard is bad at blocking. "Pollard will get Dak killed" was your EXACT quote.

That’s the thing. There is a narrative that Pollard can’t block and that just isn’t true.

Zeke is just in a league of his own when it comes to blocking. He might be the best to ever do it at that position.

Pollard is solid at it. Normal. Like what most teams have.

Zeke is just a phenom at it.

It’s just 1 skill that we can still use and still give Pollard a bigger role in this offense.

Pollard needs to start drives and help get the offense going. Zeke can play once Pollard has done what Zeke isn’t capable of which is getting the offense going. Come in after Pollard has loosened them up, short yardage, or if you’re wanting him for blitz pickup.
