Yep, should be more physical than Janoris.

And if Joseph can play to his 4.3 40 in coverage as well as vs run, I'd be ecstatic.

The Cowboys came close. But Kevin Smith tore his Achilles opening game vs NYG in 1995. Sanders paired with Larry Brown. Before his injury Pup was a 4.4 corner who played Jerry Rice as tightly as anyone.

That may well have been the case. Compounded with the loss to the 9ers in the NFCCG the year before.

I just can't recall when Deion signed with Dallas.

But looking up Deion on Wiki suggests you are exactly correct. Good call.

To be fair they probably would have signed him anyway. I remember Barry saying something in a press conference about how they needed Deion after the injury to Pup.

Deion was signed to play opposite Kevin Smith. Smith just got injured in the first game of Deion's tenure with the team.

Deion wasn't signed because of Kevin Smith's injury. I remember salivating at the prospect of those two starting in the secondary. That injury ruined what promised to be a legendary pairing.

Deion was signed AFTER Pup blew out his Achilles.

I was screaming in this very forum to trade up for Talib or DRC over Jenkins in 2008 draft.

Then wanted to trade for him when TB was selling him for pennies on the dollar, then again when he was a FA (signed by Denver).

Talib is not only Diggs mentor but he also stood on the table for Denver to draft Parsons at #9.

Would love to add Talib to Cowboys scouting team or coaching staff.

I always forget about Anthony Henry, but I thought he was a good player. I remember when he snagged (for the Browns of course) 10 interceptions in his rookie year.

Fish was on the Dallas radio during that time. I know a great deal of people don't care for him, but he was talking about Deion coming to Dallas around May of that year. Long before training camp or Pup's injury. He gave a guarantee it would come to pass.

I'm not a huge fan of his YouTube stuff now. But my opinion was he was just below Galloway in talking about the Boy's. I also used to like Spags a great deal. I guess times change.

Yes, I completely agree. He's been solid. In these last 2 games I'd like to see KJ take a few of his reps and maybe a few of Jourdan Lewis' reps. If we can enter the playoffs with a confident KJ to go along with our other playmakers on defense then we're looking good. If not I feel we can still be a dominant defense with Brown. I feel like Brown has reached his ceiling, he's solid but not a gamechanger. KJ might be another gamechanger. We've just scratched the surface with him. If he's a gamechanger I'd like to see that happen prior or during the playoffs. He looked really good last week considering that was his first real action.

On the deep pass that Diggs picked, my first response was why throw it Diggs way when you got a rookie in there playing his first game. Maybe Heiniki saw KJ and crew covering their guys and threw a 50/50 ball to Diggs. That tells me KJ and all the other DBs had their guys on lockdown to try and test Diggs.

Ok I know that post was long but I'm excited about KJ's play and the overall solid play of the rest of secondary.

It's a concern of mine too. I'm hoping this Sunday we'll stop the run with Odiggy and Gallimore. That would go along way for my comfort level going into the playoffs.

Brown got jobbed by the refs on Thanksgiving Day game. They just kept throwing deep on his side and the refs just threw the flag. The last one the receiver pulled him into him. The refs seemed to take forever to throw the flag. A few were really ticky tack.

Funny the next week he played the same and no flag.
