Is there a rule in the NFL that prohibits Dallas to throw deep in a game?

You'd need a competent OC with a game plan that's not coming from a kid who still thinks he's playing Madden football.

I agree OL is not the same as the last few years.

why dont we have plays where we get the ball out quick to a position and WR be situated, after all we have leagues best wrs isn’t it ? Quick outs , cross routes ,slants within 3 secs …. Why not ????? ( after all we have a genius in OC )

To me it is a combination, we have overrated Wrs and overrated qb . When the OL beats up average defenses , Qb throws everywhere and WRs shine , with above average defenses that doent work. Not to mention, there is no threat of run as teams can handle our run game without crowding LOS.
We run them. Seems like I see Schultz whiffing on his block every time the play gets killed.

Is there a possibility that dak may have an undisclosed lingering injury from earlier in the season that may be limiting his passing ability? Possibly a shoulder? Could it still be the calf? I mean he was making all the throws earlier in the season. Then at some point his accuracy seems too have fallen off a cliff!

Look, me lad, Dak prefers the 10-yard passes to a TE and not the long ball.
But these short passes being batted down get old.
My prediction: In the playoffs Dak will throw an inconsequential pass to Schultz. It will be batted or tipped and caught by the D and taken for a pick 6. Then we can lament another year of not getting the brass ring, old fellow.

Such optimism.

And the best deep threat was lost for the year possibly ending his Cowboy career. Malik Turner let’s see some action in Philly when Cooper or Lamb need a break , could open the door for some shots down the field.

Not that he’s a deep threat but to stretch the chains Noah Brown is a decent target , is he on IR ?

The excuse that Dak just doesn't get time is played out. How many qbs don't get time and make something happen out of nothing?

Dak is simply taking too long to read or decide what he wants to do like run. Have you noticed he constantly steps up into the pocket for a sack?

I think this may be the best he is ever going to be. I hope I am wrong.

Dak needs the full 4 secs for his receiver to run 40 yards down the field.

Throwing deep requieres good Pass Protection, a QB with Arm Talent and Accuracy down field and Good Playcalling scheming Receivers open.

We have neither right now.

Whatever . Your 4th receiver is never Lance Alworth or Jerry Rice. He gives the QB a target to pick up the first down and goodness he even throws a block , they taught him well at “the” Ohio State

Yea. It’s called the: “Our QB is a coward and won’t throw deep” rule.

It would hurt his stat that inflates his massive ego and illusion of himself. Now that Stafford is with the Rams, Dak the new #1.

Malik Turner has shown me more in 2 games than Oh Noah Brown has shown me in 5 years.....he needs to be put out on "the" curb with the garbage.

He is One of the best deep ball passes in the entire league. I don’t know why they don’t let him throw deep. At least let them think you’re going deep

Remember Dez absolutely dunking on the entire league until Dak arrived and then he “couldn’t run routes.”

Turns out Dak just wouldn’t throw him the ball down the sideline.
Yeah but it was Prescott that through Dez Bryant his first ever playoff touchdown catch LMAO

Dak was smarter when he had the ability/nerve to take it himself. Now he just panics when his first choice isn't there, missing wide-open targets in the process.

The rule is pass protection, simple, Moore call many vertical routes, every game.
