The bears have some talent and 40 mil in cap space
They can be a good team quickly IF fields is a above avg QB
That remains to be seen and they gave up this years first to get him

Yep. Jury is still very much out on the quarterback.

They gave it up, but I would definitely work on developing Fields this offseason. There are no known top talents coming out at QB. Fields has something. He is a tough kid and a good dude. I think he can be a solid QB.

They don’t have a choice
No first round pick because they gave it up for him
Kinda have to give him another year and pray he grows, then decide his future after that
If he gets better you try to stick with him

Until Miami scraps the GM, that's the last place I'd go.

Thats the thing with me. I’m not convinced that Fields is a franchise quarterback.

This ticks me off so much that the NFL allows this. No interview requests should be allowed to be filed until after a team is eliminated.

Sorry your team sucked...but you're going to have to wait until the good teams are done before you poach! Go suck an egg, Dolphins, Jacksonville, Chicago, etc.

What’s “the right opportunity”?

For Quinn I’d imagine it’s a stable organization with good ownership, sound management and pathways to being successful again rather quickly. A team that needs a culture change and some juice added to the locker room (both which Quinn provides imo) but has some talent already on the team.

rarely do coaches get 3 Try’s at being a head coach and even rarer for his age- so his next move has to be his best move. The reason as you know why jax was ruled out....too young, too toxic and no track record really of success.

I think Broncos fit the mold I said earlier, Vikings, Seattle (if available which appears unlikely ) but outside those 3 I don’t think Miami is that or New York & I’d even throw the bears in as an intriguing option just because the history the franchise has & its a big market plus they have some flexibility and idk when I look at Dan Quinn he just looks like a bears coach to me

I don’t think anyone could be at this point
I didn’t think he was coming out myself
He hasn’t done anything to change that

The thing with Denver is that they don’t have the quarterback. That’s what did Fangio in.

yea that’s the thing and it’s a tough division but I guess it would come down to what moves they can make and IF they truly feel they have a chance at Rodgers.

broke a thousand yards and set the rookie receiving record w/out his qb for like 4 games. but yeah
And they weren't able to use him vertically because they dont have a QB that can threaten the down the field. Im not saying Waddle wasnt excellent. He certainly was, and in spite of what he had to work with. Im saying they dont have someone that can use him properly, as someone who threatens every level

I was listening to NFL radio yesterday and I found it interesting of the interview process of who is actually interviewing whom. They were talking for the vet coach it really comes down to that coach interviewing the team knowing that unless there are changes in how they operate there is no reason for him to take the job because he knows they are setup for failure. For the 1st time coach, they tend to just agree to what the team is saying and just hopes for the chances to be a HC.
