Doesn’t matter. Two divisions have one team going, one division has two teams going, and one has three. The NFC East isn’t the worst division in the NFC.
It's not even the second worst. The NFC East was better than the NFC South and NFC North this season.

Yet they had to win Sunday to get in? Let's keep things in perspective media and analysts.

SF was decimated by injuries early in the year and had to battle to get into the playoffs in a tough division and are playing and peaking at the right time, they're a scary team for Dallas to play, they match up well against the Cowboys

Dallas record against other playoff teams this year
3-4

one win against the Patriots in OT, two wins against the Eagles, first game they were decimated by injuries, second game, they rested 20 players, I get it, you can only play who's in front of you but

four losses to playoff teams TB, KC, LA raiders, Cardinals and the other loss to Denver that dominated the Cowboys at home...(three home losses)

Now you can look at the total win/loss record, but I choose to look inside the win/loss record and where those win/loses came during the season and against who....

Perspective? The Cowboys will have their work cut out for them on Sunday...... and if there's one upset this weekend and there's usually one surprise, my money would be on SF for that upset to beat Dallas because of how the Cowboys played in games against other playoff contenders during the year.

My issues with Dallas, they don't run the ball consistently enough on offense, defensive line is prone to being gashed in the run game, see the loses to playoff teams during the season for that and the defense allows too many big plays down the field.... Dallas takes too many penalties and I don't trust peg leg Greg which I think this game will come down to a late field goal

Dallas needs to cut down on the penalties, limit the running game and protect Dak to win this game......

I heard someone on ESPN radio.....I'm thinking it was Rex Ryan....

That picked a SF/Tennessee SB.

I can't see it but no one saw the Braves winning over Dodgers/Giants either.
I doubt we see a Jimmy g/ Ryan tannehill Superbowl.

It could happen, but don't count on it. QBs are the most important thing in the playoffs. Jimmy had a nice comeback against the Rams, but has been average at best this year. 20 total tds to 12 picks.

Dak has had some bad moments too but his ceiling is a mile higher than Jimmy's and tannehills. He has the ability to take a game over at any time. I've never seen the other two do that.

See why I fear the Niners?

Did you even look at the chart or just read the caption to it? That chart doesn't make any sense. I've read several times posers here who say they are going to run it down our throats because that's their strength. According to that chart they are the 2nd best passing team and ranked at the bottom in rushing.

What I find interesting is their matrices give the Cowboys D a mediocre rank. The game changing dynamics (HAVOC?) that they thrive on seem to be understated in the analysis. Good stuff, though.

Our defense is mediocre. They rely on big plays. When we don't get those, we fail. This is a risky way to live. And against playoff caliber teams, this defense never shows up. They feast off the junk we have in the East. I do not expect this defense to do a lot in the playoffs. It's going to come down to our offense forcing the issue.

Philly is the best running team in the league and its not close...we did ok against them. Again if our offense does thier thing we will win and it wont be that close.

They have the cowboys as 31st against the run when we were ranked 16th in the league in run yards allowed per game, maybe strength of schedule played into that? Last year the Cowboys were ranked 31st in the league in that stat at 158.8 yards a game and improved to 112.8 yards a game this year. Of course they were very undermanned last year but great improvement.

I have never seen a stat called "havok" before, got to like that just for the name alone.

Funny thing we played the best rushing team and the 3rd best both twice and did ok...if its schedule i would ask questions.

Shouldn't the thread say "some random dude created weird stats that say SF is most complete team"?
Not "SF Is Most Complete Team"

I mean....just look at the outcome of some of his rankings.
Buffalo has 2nd worst pass offense of 14 teams in the playoffs and San Fran has 2nd best?
What?

right ..Im not gonna say we have the best run defense in the league but saying that the Niners have the 2nd best pass defense is just as ridiculous.

Well it would prove it isn't fixed lol.

I personally expect a Mahomes vs Brady or Rodgers matchup.....because that's who is always there in the end.

Somehow.

They definitely thrive on complimentary football. I don't think the Cowboys will beat the 49ers if the defense gives up > 24.

I’m WAY too lazy to look at all the teams’ games, but I’m pretty sure a bunch of playoff teams had losing records against other playoff teams.

Hurts running around getting yards isn't getting it stuffed down our throats, totally different deal.

This is such a fun match up. It can go either way. All three phases have to play balls-out football. I’m hoping the guys on the Cowboys have it in them. This might be the toughest game of the playoffs as odd as that seems.

What?

Sure. But your preferred title doesn’t exactly fit into the character limit.
