The Cowboys Will Ask The NFL To Look Into The "Athleticism" Of Umpires Moving Forward

It seems silly but I understand the umpire was actually on the wrong side of the ball. I have never seen the umpire run from behind the QB and OL to place the ball. Isn't he supposed to be behind the LBs in the last 2 minutes for that very reason. Even Romo said 8 seconds would be enough to line up and spike after Nantz said it might not be enough time.

You're wrong. The Umpire's primary position is in the offensive backfield, opposite the referee. 15 yards deep and just outside the normal Tight End position. His position was changed a few years ago from the defensive side to the offensive side.. Look a little closer next time.

Changed by Mike Periera who said it was a mistake

It's not an "either/or" situation. Sure the Cowboys were outplayed and could have won the game by simply playing better. But that doesn't mean that the umpire should be excused for his performance. That wasn't the only time the umpire was a factor in not getting the play set. I don't recall ever seeing that once in a game before let alone 3 times. It cost the Cowboys twice and was a factor in the game.
Actually the after fake punt was the cowboys fault trying to keep the kicking team on the field when they substitute the d has to get a chance happens a lot if you watch games again poor coaching thank MM and skeleton

I can practically hear the peals of laughter in the NFL offices.

And it's because fans like you are cool letting your teams lose becauuse of inadequate inconsistent incompetent officiating.

That doesn't make you better sportsmen. Just losers who think they are.

The Cowboys had a player step on the field celebrating the fake punt. The umpire stood over the ball to allow the defense to substitute, that is fine, but he stood there until there was no time for the Cowboys to snap the ball..............that never happens! The umpire had issues, perhaps he had money on the game, I don't know.

I know many of you probably do not like mike fisher, but he was talking about this teams sense of entitlement in one of his shows earlier today. The "entitlement" this whole franchise feels they are owed is sickening. They have not earned jack ****.

Today's refs are awful. It is what it is. I'll be the first to cry ref bias, but I'm sorry...that last call was galactically stupid. You put the game in the hands of an official...to place the ball so that you still have a second on the clock? Somebody thought that was a good risk even assuming Dak doesn't take too much time on his part? People should have been fired last night. This team is truly embarrassing.

I can’t blame the official. We were standing in the way.

Embarrassing, and the worst part is, it will stop this franchise from a proper self evaluation
This franchise has proven for 26 years it either is unwilling or incapable of self evaluation. Very embarrassing. I feel with all this ref talk coming from the players, coaches and now owner, this is the first time I'm embarrassed to be a Cowboys fan. I can take losses. The last 25 years got me good at that. But Tex Schramm, Tom Landry, Jimmy Johnson, the triplets, Darren Woodson, etc. Would have never acted this way. I'm embarrassed about how they played and how they act when they lose. Heartless and weak minded people in every facet of this organization.

Exactly. Stop doing stupid things to yourself like signing Zeke 2 years before the deal is up or giving a mediocre QB money like he’s the best QB in football.
........or quit hiring coaches that just say Yes and Yes Sir or hiring inexperienced OCs in hope they become the next Yes, Yes Sir HC.

Can we also ask for better execution on our players and better discipline from our coaches??
But if they do that then they can't blame their failures on other things. They would have to hold themselves accountable and that's just too much to ask for.

Don't you get it?

The excuses get more and more embarrassing.

This team will NEVER get better if they believe they are the victims every week.

Zero accountability in this organization.

Maybe they should tell Dak to get his a** out the way so the ref can spot the ball, sad that's football 101 and it seems even this isn't known by QB4. I think Dak has gone Hollywood with his commercials and model girlfriends wonder if he's going to Cabo this weekend.

So the play call and execution was genius and we only lost the game because the umpire was not in shape. Only in Jerry world folks. Parsons is probably already planning his exit.

How many times have you seen a QB, RB, WR get up and immediately find the ump, run to him and give him the ball in a time sensitive situation? Personally, I've seen it about a million times. It is standard operating procedure.

Our elite leader had no idea where the ump even was before he handed the ball to the center and tried to run a play. Our elite leader actually blocked the ump from getting to the ball. Our elite leader then whined about "the hit" from the ump in his post game PC.

The more this game ages, the smellier it gets.
