Mike McCarthy isn’t equal to Andy Reid, Mike Tomlin, John Harbaugh & Sean Payton. Sorry bud!

Nothing is equal...and you can't prove that, because it has not happened. We must wait and see if what you say is true. If you think that, you are a Rocket Scientist.

I can't believe there are people even arguing to keep MM. He is a goober. There were so many bone headed calls, issues with time management, red flags, discipline, and he never once owned up to any of them. He argued every single time that was the right decision or what they intended or it was the refs fault.

I've never liked him and I absolutely believe Aaron Rodgers.

And I'm sorry but on a side personal note I don't trust you running my organization if you can't have the discipline to put down rhe twinkie.

Please oh please bring in Sean Payton. That would be the first coach since Parcells that I could be excited about and believe in.

My think with McCarthy and calling plays is his system got stale. Thats why he got fired in GB. He was that kind of HC before, I don't know that he is now. Probably more a CEO type HC. To me that the biggest difference between the two. Almost identical records, but Payton has been able to keep his system update, where McCarthy couldnt

I get it, but I want to at least see something new. If he’s going to go down he might as well go down with calling his offense. Not Moore who had a total collapse this season.

One is a coaching legend who takes ordinary talent and triples it.
One who lucked all his life into HOF Qbs ( Favre, Rodgers) and worked for top level GMs at Green bay and others .

MM already made two huge assistant blunders by hiring his buddies( nolan the DC last year , and Philbin the OL coach this year ) both were costly.
Add to that the fact MM has been exposed to the players and staff at dallas as being aloof and soft.

Our current guy has won 18 playoff games, the other has won half that over the same length of time. Maybe we can swap coaches and the Saints send us picks? Lol we've overvalued Payton.

The big caveat for Payton is we just cant outright sign him. It will probably cost us our 1st an minimum. Now if you believe the PFT rumor, compensation was agreed to in 2019 between us and NO
Nah man I don't think so...105.3 the fan today and take this with a grain of salt a source stated it would be a lower pick something like a 3rd.

The article that came out already stated they agreed to compensation in 2019 so that must be something jones boys are comfy with and can be the skeleton of the deal. As a franchise we need this to happen somethings are just destined.

Peyton can run a offense and manage a game better. But other than that not much. Him and Dan Quinn would be dynamic.

There's a couple of things that probably favor Payton's resume here and obviously the 2 years of MM are telling.

- One of the worst calls in NFL history compared to choking in the NFC championship on an onside kick
- Never getting caught for massages and checking out of his franchise
- Elevated Jameis Winston, MM had Dak regress through the year
- Calls plays and is considered a Guru vs CEO walk around HC
- Built great defenses, consistent winner, ability to adjust vs someone who won't get involved in the offense

At this point we've seen MM will walk around and give his input here and there, how involved he is with the gameplan is for fans to wonder. If we get Sean Payton he will be involved in every facet of the offense including calling plays. Other than that it's extremely similar but one is highly regarded vs. another who got fired and was sloppy on his way out.

Payton is better at offense and X's and O's. But I'm not sold on all the other stuff he was doing with the Saints in his final years. His obsession with Taysom Hill is a major red flag!

Yeah thats actually an under rated point. He got a ridiculous contract given what he does. Dude is a good football player, but he's not a qb, rb, wr or te.

Their records are near identical. Ive heard this brought up alot since the rumors picked up

Guys that dont want to pursue Payton for this reason: Sell the guys that want Payton on this

Guys that want to pursue Payton: Sell the guys that dont see a difference on why Payton is better

Discipline. Plain and simple Payton comes from the parcels coaching tree who epitomizes discipline. So yea we need a coach that will get these penalties under control
