Can we even get to one and done next year

I've lowered my expectations to one and done being our super bowl with Jerry in charge.

With the eagles getting three first-round draft picks this year we are going to need to do some creative things to even get to one and done in my opinion.

2016 is a long time ago and this Oline is getting old and turning into a penalty ridden mess we need a dominant center badly

On the other side of the ball we need a dominant defensive tackle something we haven't spent a high draft pick on in forever.

It was never more on display than when the eagles gashed us for 150 yards with their second team.

We need a coach that can get some accountability and install some discipline on these players 130 penalties a year will leave us shy of one and done watching the eagles go on in the playoffs.

Maybe as a wild card. The scoreboard didn't reflect how the 49ers manhandled the soft Cowboys.

Bloke, we are years away from a playoff run beyond 2022.

I am afraid our window of opportunity ended with that sickening run by Dak.

Worse roster, tougher schedule.

Logic is easy to apply.

Also....how is any coach around here supposed to instill discipline when it's clear from minute one that he isnt the one in charge?

Doubtful. Because unless we hit on draft picks we're only going to get worse each of the next 3 years with Daks contract.

I believe we are banking on the division being bad again, and maybe that will happen, but that remains to be seen.

I could see us going 9-8 or 10-7 and needing some help to get in the playoffs next year.

Anyone who thinks the Eagles with Hurts at QB will suddenly win the division because they have 3 first round picks is delusional and over-reacting. None of their 3 picks is in the top 10 (15, 16, 19) if they don’t trade a couple to move up. Their OL is a mess. Their WRs are a mess. Their QB situation is a mess. Their defense seems unable to stop anyone. Continue to be disappointed in the Cowboys playoff game vs SF, but barring an injury that makes Rush our starting QB for the season, the Cowboys will be the heavy favorite to win the division again, despite whatever we may think that’s worth.

Add to this the HC will we working without a net with a team that makes too many mistakes and doesn't seem interested in stopping that. Addressing penalties was nothing more than lip service.

The team will lose some players and not be even a mid level player in FA while PHL and maybe even the NYG improve.

The head scratcher for me is this is a 12 win team with so many holes, how does that happen? They need OL, DL and if they move Parsons to DE, another LB and they still have a vastly overrated secondary that covers warts with picks.

Of all the playoff teams that I think could take a hard fall, the Cowboys lead the way. Right after a Rodgers-less GB. But they're in a bad division like the Cowboys. If SEA keeps Wilson, the West might get all 4 teams in next season.

I don't really see anything making us any better next year All are underperforming stars are a year older.

There are players that are going to leave that have to be replaced
The money we are paying some of the underperforming players is going to prevent us from doing anything spectacular in free agency.

Beyond that how many players can we expect to draft that will make an impact.

Going into this year many said we’d win 7 games. It’s a way to protect their feelings. So I understand and respect their sensitivity.

I think the NFCE trend continues.....

with eagles getting three first round picks and having 15M in cap space, they can do some damage. depends on them. lets not forget they ended up 9-7. imagine if Rodgers would agree to go there.....

and given now the DC have figured out Moore's offense. MM on the hot seat, our organizational dysfuntion. and Dak having regressed.

we are going to have a tough time repeating

This franchise seems to be entitled and soft. Shannon Sharp said they would fold a month before it happened. I know, throw enough crap against the wall.

People keep saying we're in a bad division that could change drastically next year we will not go 6 and 0 in our division next year.

Unfortunately they hated eagles will see to that with three first-round draft picks how can they not improve their team.

Who will improve on our team. Tank , Tyrone, Zach Martin, Zeke Dak ,Cooper, Gregory at least maybe he won't get any dumber.

None of these guys are getting better just older and I'm a feared we won't have the luxury of beating up on teams at the end of the year that are as injured and ravaged with sickness as we did this year to enhance our record.

The stark reality of just what this team really is is going to hit next year especially if it's as improperly coached as it was this year

I think we did well a while back and somehow the following year the eagles blasted by us as we tanked and they even won a super bowl somehow

Yeah, I don't see us getting any better next year, but I could see us being worse.

Cooper gone, Zeke older, O-line older, and who knows who we lose in free agency that we won't be able to replace.

This will be the story of every offseason for the next 3 years unforntunetley.

the likelihood of going 6-0 in the division is rare and not done often easy to assume we lose few however a fan with actual common sense saw us lose many games outside the east by less than td
ie soem a fg or less 2, 3, 3, 6 and 10 only game we were out of was Denver. so common sense says we win some of those outside games this year hoping we don't have the penalty bug.

We'll have to wait and see what Jerry does with all the Cowboys free agents, but if they lose Gallup, Schultz, Connor Williams, Randy Gregory, Kearse and a few others without acquiring adequate replacements, they can't possibly be a better team. It took the Eagles a while to figure it out, but once they started running the football and making Goedert the focus of the passing game their offense improved a lot. The Eagles also have CAP space. If Kelce retires that is going to hurt but they showed that they have depth on the OL. I am not saying they will win a Super Bowl, but they will be good enough to win the NFC East.

I cant think of the last time we had back to back playoff seasons. Pretty sure it was the 90s.
