Didnt read through 30 pages, but from what I can piece together it went down like this.

Denver gave RG big offer, Dallas matched, then somebody other than Jerry, probably his idiot boy, added in a poison pill clause after the fact. RG get pissed, said F them, and signed with Denver. I dont really care that RG is gone, but I got to agree that its a total dick move to add in a clause to a contract after everything is verbally agreed to.

Got to hand it to little Stevie, he sure knows how to close a deal:facepalm:

Where did you get your info? Because Fisher just said the language in Randy's contract was standard boiler plate crap that is in every Cowboys contract, and was in each of Randy's previous contract.... BUT.. listen close now..... even if it isnt expressly stated in the contract, its still in the contract because it is covered under the CBA The CBA spells out certain conduct by ALL players that can void their contract. The info from the CBA, is what the Cowboys include in the contracts they use.

So before you go shaking your head and talking smack,, AGAIN.. better learn exactly how things went down.
Before you slam Fisher for being in the Jones back pocket, he also came flat out and said Stephen absolutely FAILED in this contract...

What I've read is that Jerry had the deal done and Stephen zoomed in at the last second and tried to make changes to the contract. Jerry supposedly is livid over losing Gregory. I've been telling you guys for a long time. You think Jerry was bad?? Just wait until Stephen get full control:facepalm: We are so screwed:hammer:

and what I heard, was Jerry and Stephen got blasted and had a bunch of hookers over to celebrate the deal.......

but I also heard..... blah blah blah.

I, for one, am shocked that a guy that was pegged as having “character issues” coming into the draft, suffered constant drug suspensions, and often played with a lack of focus leading to penalties, ended up betraying the team to go play for the same contract in a city where marijuana is legal the first chance he got.

SHOCKED, I say!

If its just common boilerplate language from the CBA, why does Denver not have it in theirs?

Care to explain that?

I couldn’t care less if I’m honest with you. I just want to win

Then why are you b*tching about people you claim are cheering because he "stuck it to Jerry" if morals mean nothing to you? Randy returned being stuck with a stick. That's how y'all roll so live with the pointy end from time to time.

I like Gregory and wanted him here but Denver can take that risk now. Lets go get Jones or Von Miller on a 1-2 year deal and draft their replacement.

As risky as someone like Gregory will be with the big money, $28 million guaranteed for a good defensive end isn’t all that bad. Disappointing we couldn’t match and convince on that.

That question was actually asked, and Fisher said he was gonna make some calls and find out if it is in their contracts. But he said even if it ISNT in the contract Randy signed, it still applies no matter what, because it is in the CBA. I asked him if it is in the cba then why even put it in the contract. He didnt answer my question.... but again, you, nor I are seeing exactly how this went down, and the guys that you are reading from that say they know how it went down werent in the room either.

Fisher also said that report that Jerry is livid with Stephen was 100% Bulls.... why? Because like I said, they slipped nothing into the contract and it is the same as the previous deals he signed. You may dismiss Fisher, but I personally trust everything he says... because he will flat out tell you why he does what he does and he will tell you when he has some info but he cant release that info yet. Jerry is pissed because they had a handshake deal, which is why the didnt franchise Randy and did Schutz instead. Im sure jerry feels like Randy flat light to him, and after how loyal Jerry was to Randy, Id be pissed to.

No one knows better than Dallas why that was put in there. Good luck with that signing Denver. Jerry Jones doesn’t have much of a problem taking chances on hard luck cases, there must be some %#@! we don’t even know.

Interesting, thanks for the info bro.

Just like you, my main question to ask if "if the language is in the CBA, why does it need to be in all Cowboy contracts?"

Randy Gregory made a football decision, he wants to win a SB. The odds that Denver will win one is better than in Dallas where we have the Joneses in charge.

Gregory had two offers.

1. 5/$70 million with $28m guaranteed

2. 5/$70 million with $28m guaranteed which could all be gone if he made one more mistake.

Option 1 is a safer/better option.

Fans talking about loyalty are some hypocritical losers. The NFL is by far the most dangerous sport, yet the only one without guaranteed contracts. Do you think it was “loyal” for the Seahawks to cut Bobby Wagner? Teams make business decisions every single day. It’s a business.

Because “sticking it to Jerry“ means sticking it to the Cowboys, as well.

Only morals I give a **** about are mine!

We could have a roster full of murderers for all I give a ****. What a business owner does w staffing is none of my business. I literally couldn’t give a **** as long as the Cowboys win

My post had nothing to do with what you’re talking about. Beat it!

I know that the CBA contract includes language about the conduct policy and cedes authority to the NFL. That language is on the signing sheet as well.

I truly appreciate your sarcasm. I saw this development with Randy coming a mile away but you know this blindsided Jerry Jones who thought his loyalty to Randy Gregory would pay off with a team-friendly re-signing. He will never learn.
