Who knows what really happened, there are several versions that are being reported.

Bottom line, like Fish said, this is a massive FAIL by Steven and the front office for not getting the deal done. As Fish said, it was a layup and a gust of wind knocks the ball out of your hand.
The ball was one of those little plastic ones.

I suspect this pinhead's drug use had crept into game day. I mean, who the hell tackles an O Lineman while the running back is 10 yards away???

He has been a clown his entire career. A talented clown, but a clown nonetheless.

Randy - I know some of you will say you got to go where the money is... YES for some players that is true but when an owner stands up for you and supports you when you are down and could have just terminated you and you may have been out of the NFL forever - you work things out and stay with the people who had your back. Good riddance!

I've been quiet on this, but I agree.

No team wanted to draft Gregory but the Cowboys. No team would have stood by Gregory getting suspended for entire seasons at a time but the Cowboys. And what team so patiently stood by him as he battled his mental health and addiction issues? The Cowboys.

Randy Gregory would have been out of the NFL several years ago were it not for the Jones'. I understand he felt insulted by the last minute contract language, but in my opinion he owes everything to Dallas. And he basically stabbed them in the back.

Who do we believe? Well, Fish is the only one showing any evidence. I'd be interested to hear how many other teams have the same clause. Honestly, clause does seem like a standard boilerplate that doesn't single out Randy.

There is one thing Steven couldn't offer him.

This was Randy's decision and all the other spin is just that.

He had a home in Dallas and a structure that allowed him to succeed up to this point. He is a grown child and has chosen to go roam the Rocky Mountains, what is a parent to do?

Just glad the Broncos are footing the bill.

Jerry agreed to the exact contract structure Denver had matching the contract, Stephen changed the language.

They agreed to the terms of the contract-amount, length, bonus, etc. Each team has their own contract template that they use and essentially fill in the blanks with the terms. Dallas entered in the parameters and hit print, the rest is just the standard language of the contract, which the Cowboys put this clause in as standard. It goes on everyone's contact unless they ask/negotiate to remove it.. I guarantee Dak negotiated it out of his. The agent is lieing when he says he hasn't seen it before. It was in one of RD's contract and it is in Collins' contract. So he is lieing or never read the other contracts.

My guess is the agent is getting a "kicker" from Denver if RD signs there but Dallas isn't doing that (and it might not be legal in NFL terms).

The only long-shot hope for our defense to improve was for D-law or Gregory (or both) to leave. Otherwise, we roll with the same defense (plus or minus Kearse) that couldn't get it done last season, that saw D-Law nowhere to be found and Gregory laughing at his penalties. And people are mad about this? I'm only upset the last Hot Boy didn't go with him and maybe improve the culture around this freak show. Maybe we don't win without RG, but we didn't win with him.

You guys are missing the point here.
Gregory wanted to be in the legal Mile High City in the sky.
Hubs with Amsterdam quality on every street corner like gas stations.

Very interesting guy. Extremely intelligent but very self centered. I agree he seemed high in the sf game. I doubt we regret losing him but who knows.

Perhaps, but it is said that Stephen wouldn't take it out. It's not good business to have your money voided if you get fined which happens all the time, Cowboys are doing extra.
Got a quote?
It's in a PFT article, or on another thread by @blueblood70.
