I love how every year you defend the front office from criticism, they prove to not be good enough during the season and then you come back to chastise those criticizing the front office as if they had actually won something that previous season.

The criticism is warranted. The Jones' really don't know how to build a roster. Every year just continues to prove that.

I am not defending them, not all the time, read my other posts as I do criticize them as well.
Or do you just cherry pick them.

And while we sit on our hands, the Rams will resign Miller, the Steelers will sign Jack, and someone like Tampa or GB will land Wagner. Meanwhile, we’ll overpay for a JAG from Detroit or Chicago…then draft WR, CB, an injured RB, TE and a pair of 5th round OL with position flex…

The other funny part is there are/were DEs on the board that are comparable, if not better bets, than Gregory.

We were willing to hand him $70 million. So clearly they had that money slotted for the DE position. So there is no reason to now go totally cheap at DE.

This is so funny! Players probably heard about Stephen's stunt adding dumb clauses to the contract and now they say let's just avoid Dallas.

I mean this is how every offseason goes. We get linked with a high tier or high-middle tier guy that can fill a need and 95% of the time it's just BS.

They clearly know they need/want a good DE opposite Lawrence. That's clear in them offering Gregory $70 million.

And yet, they are gonna sit on their ***** while most of the bigger name OLB/DE players fall off the board.

ZaDarius Smith was hurt last year but before that, he had 26 sacks in two seasons. Infintiely more productive than Gregory. We can't muster a $35 million-$50 million deal for Smith but Gregory? Hell yeah, pay that man.
If the Gregory money isnt re invested its clear proof of how much different things are for Dallas draftees that Jerry falls in love with vs better players that are out there for cheaper.

They just don't seem to even want to try.

Don't want to be exposed.

This is what happens when everyone gets a say....no one is in charge.

But do they realize how stupid they look if they do that? It's clear they knew DE was a big need. If they didn't think that why hand Gregory $70 million? That saga alone is a giant neon sign from the front office that they know they need DE help.

To now not pay for any middle to high level DE just so you can try to sell us Armstrong is pathetic.

But I expect it. They'll tell us they'll address it in the draft.

So you won’t be around during the season. We don’t have to read all you BS and hate.
The guy had back problems. We don’t need that.
Losing Gregory and now this…both are blessings in disguise for long term.
Oh I'll be here dropping knowledge for the less knowledgeable.

Gregory is a bum and Denver saved Jerry from himself, but that's no excuses to sit on your hands while this team gets worse overall.

I Do think this is a big part of their decision that no one will talk about. Cowboys will be left with the free agents either other teams can't afford or don't want. Nobody with options would deal with this crap.

At first look at Smith’s signing.. I was like “why didn’t Dal do this deal?”

Za’Darius Smith is a sneaky good player, you’d think he would be worth more than even what Baltimore gave him. Hell, you’d think the Packers would have done what they had to do to keep him considering his production (26sacks/2 years).

Dig a little deeper though, you’ll find the red flag that’s cause for concern. I didn’t realize he basically missed last season with back issues(game 1/snaps 18), that ultimately lead to back surgery by midseason season. He did manage 19 snaps/1 sacks in his playoff return.

That said, I’d rather steer clear of paying a player that will be 30yo (start of season) and coming off back surgery. Too many variables can go wrong as we’ve learn via Tyron Smith.

right someone with common sense would see what many are getting over paid or others with red flags,

i get the rumblings and we did lose RG and now have very little options but i am guessing look at the second cuts soon to happen as they did today guys like C,Cambell, Ingram, Nassib, and others..its not as big of name but draft day 1st round just hope they don't reach for taco type at 24 still got to take BPA..

last hope a trade right before the season if they dont like what happens in camp.i mean that how Miler ended up wit the rams before the TD..
