Bro, Chris Olave is good, but I would take Jameson Williams with our 24th pick if he's still available.

Yes, Jameson's torn ACL might not be fully healed by the time the season starts, but when fully healed, he is lights out better than Chris Olave. Jameson is another Amari Cooper but slightly faster and more athletic.
They're pretty equal to me. Upside of Olave is that he's a much more willing blocker on run downs which for us is important. I miss Dez for that.

Personally I wouldn't go for a rd 1 receiver. Lots of teams need OL. That should be our focus early in the draft.

We really need a guy that can replace 88's production in the middle. We have plenty of wide outs which is good because you can move 88 around, but we need another Beasley (not necessarily as short) type guy that can work inside with the TE, and also stretch the field occasionally.

That's why the Cowboys signed WR James Washington for. He can open things up some.

No way should the Cowboys go Oline in the 1st round.

I'd trade out unless Linderbaum is there. He's the most gifted in that range of draft point. I know people don't like his size, but his tape tells the tale. His wrestling background makes him an absolute mauler. He'd be an instant upgrade over Biad, and will only get better in the weight room. Pretty deep draft for our current positions of need.

Cowboys already have a better replacement at Center: Matt Farniok. Philbin is simply a stubborn old fool. Don't need to waste a costly pick on Center when the Cowboys just did in recent years.

Is it standard operating procedure to wait a month before you have surgery on an ACL repair? Hurt Jan 2nd, repaired Feb 10?
Usual recovery time 50 weeks. Cripes he'll be pup or ir for sure.
It was a clean acl tear with no other damage so he strengthened the knee before surgery so he would have a shorter recovery time.

Nah, when Jimmie Ward says ..... “We went in there and did what we needed to do: Stop the run and force them to be one-dimensional. See if Prescott could win the game for them,” you know the league has our number, the 49ers didnt care that we had Coop (CeeDee and Gallup) and I doubt whether replacing your WR1 with comparative WR talent in the draft is going to change teams approach.

Not a head scratched for me about Cooper. His adherence to the protocol was the first strike. His addressing the targets, which was a direct shot at the QB, was strikes 2 and 3. Remember, Booger had already defended his Chosen One with the WR's were not running the proper routes. Which just happens to be Cooper's known strength.

They didn't even make an attempt to keep Beasley after he called the QB out. Thou shalt not call out the Chosen One.

I would prefer an OL or DL with that 1st but I also remember this QB without a true #1 and the difference Cooper made on his arrival. Are they going into this season with Lamb, Brown and Fehoko and some 4th rounder? Gallup will not be ready and may not be 100% all season.
You know Cooper has not been 100% since he signed his extension. The Cowboys were rolling and looked like the number 1 seed heading into Kansas City then Coop gets sick and cost us two games in the standings. Like La’el, Cooper put his personal agenda ahead of the team. Dak gets lots of flack and deserves it for that horrible playoff performance but at least he lives and breaths Cowboys football. Can’t say the same for Coop, La’el, and Smokey (Gregory).

1st round WR here we come!!

I certainly hope not. Missing Gallup a few games, even half the season, is a short term problem. Of course he could not ever be the same again, but that's a total unknown, can't base your entire strategy on an unknown. And once he does return, what good is he, Lamb and Gallup if the o-line can't protect your quarterback? The o-line problem is a long term thing.

Drafting a wr, just on the face of it, is not a good idea when you have a team that is lacking talent in so many areas...

This is very predictable, and I'm bumping this when it happens....

They will take the best OL at 24.

Then proceed to fixate on WR in the 2nd round even though better options ended up slipping.

The rest will be dart throws.

They will get a real contribution out of exactly ONE player this year when everyone figured this draft was the savior of the offseason.

I promise all of you it won't be. It's not supposed to be.

The Jones have sent the message esp with Coop and Collins have gone now .......No more supreme support for Dak!
Tanking is in the air is the only message one can comprehend with this offseason so far.
P.S. How's the QB draft class for 2023?????

The Ol hasn't been the same since Fredrick retired.

Hate to break it to ya Papp...but getting Jerry to give up on Prescott may be more difficult than Garrett.

The leash is really, really long around here.

Jerry's version of the Goff/Stafford situation would have been to give Goff more money.

Interestingly, didn't Burrows have the choice of Chase or an OT and he took the former.... which is fine for a young QB that's got everything in
Unfortunately, for Dak the votes (and WR's) have been cassed and he's just not that elite QB that given a couple of elite WR's is able to consistently lead us to victories against good teams.
We need a running game, we need to stop teams sitting back in coverage (and effectively pass rush with 4)....need to give Dak more time and we need to be able to take the time off the clock.
Units over individuals.
