Yes I agree we need that WR who puts some fear into safeties so they can’t sit on passes in front of them.

Speed is not the main thing to look for in a player. For WR's it's more about how to run routes, setup the defender with your feet. Getting open isn't just speed it's a lot more technical and if you can get open that is all you need.

Nope, still trying to fill roles for intermediate WRs.
Everyone wants one, but this offense has a lot to fix first before finding away to add that commodity.

Have to get better in that part of the offense before a burner "fits" this offense.
Dak can run an intermediate pass heavy attack effectively if we get more production out of the backfield.
This offense needs that RB3 that does more than play special teams and stand on the side line.
That player is not on this roster yet.

Agreed, most of the all-time best WRs weren't sub 4.3 guys. Even the best returner in NFL history Devin Hester wasn't a 4.2/4.3 guy. Short area quickness is much more important. A 4.5 guy is fast enough to take it to the house if he has the short area quickness to get through initial traffic.

If the Cowboys had a 4.3 speed, Lamborghini - type receiver, we shouldn't use him on kick or punting returns (think derby car), because of the higher injury risk.

It's not so much about being extremely fast, although it helps. Actually, it has much to do with keeping a cool head and avoiding disaster!

Yup breaking a DB down with the quick steps is better than just pure speed.

Anyone that played understands running in underwear speed vs full gear speed are two very different things.

What would be fun at the combine would to be add a 20lb running vest along with a helmet for all the drills. Separate the men from the boys.

I think we like speed on defense. Quinn have looked for big strong fast guys it seems like.

Agreed, I've always said I want to see them run in full pads/uniform, including helmet.
