You don’t pay someone what # 4 is making to “ set him up “ that’s absurd. No like it or not Amari got too much for salary cap digestion but they may have tried harder to keep Cedric Wilson and basically let Malik Turner go bye bye.

Let’s see what Washington brings from his Pittsburg game and I think Tolbert was one of the very good picks Dallas made . Personally sometimes “ churning the roster “ is a good thing. I’m glad 52 & 71 have new zip codes the OLine needed new blood .

Yr 2 of a 4 yr contract for Dak . It’s either serious playoff runs coming or that’s it no more “ mega deals “ for Prescott , yes it’s time .
Yep. If Dak is going command 40 million then he needs to elevate his team, not the other way around.

Dallas is basically the best team in the nfl at taking the ball away. You can’t start on the other side of the field by not taking the ball away.
Well, last year, but that sort of thing is generally not sustainable, unless you have disruptive DT's.

Exactly . No more excuses for Dak .

In my opinion number one. Reduce the penalties drastically. Number two, starting field position. Although it’s been getting better we’re still starting almost every drive on our side of the field. Number three. And this can’t be helped much, Injuries. Having talent at the rotation position. I truly don’t believe it’s just one individual. That Some seem to think it may be . So I ask what do you think of the three most important things that we need to do to take the next step. Towards the championship. Go cowboys
There are major issues
1) the coach is highly suspect and is a classic yes man to Jerry . No player will respect or feae McCarthy
2) the QB is mediocre and probably descending .
3) the run game is hampered by an overpaid RB bum .

And none of that even matters until we can stop the run.

We can agree to disagree on the "Dak is an exceptional leader" thing.

He calls fans "bandwagon" when he gets criticized for bad play, he promotes violence against refs, and allows his brother (who he is really close with) to trash all of his teammates on twitter constantly.

A real leader accepts responsibility and moves on. Blaming the refs and promoting violence against them was the last straw for me.

we just need to pay dak more, he talks bigger after getting more money. pay the man more.

Unfortunately, when Dak runs his mouth he doesn't back it up. For instance - he gets paid and proclaims that now is the time to win super bowls, like it wasn't important before. Then he fails to back up all the smack talk by going one and done again.

Fire Moore. His game play calling has been fully exposed last season. Without Dak, Moore would have never even reached a playoff birth. Horrendous!

With all your abhor, switch teams.

1. A culture change.
2. Strong defense.
3. Strong running game.

#1 Agree. The culture change I would focus on is the importance football and executing football plays over all else. This would probably have covered off execution errors associated with penalties. (Pre-snap ones.)
#2 I pose it as better d-line.
#3 I pose that as a stronger o-line.

I do have hidden 4th. I would bet that 90% of the fans would put down the pitchforks, and Dallas would have won possibly three, but for sure two games if we had a more consistent kicking game from 50 and under.

I think this stuff gets them into the championship discussions for the upcoming season. If this franchise can solve #1 it would place itself in contention every season. This what Bill has done with the Patriots. He hasn't won every SuperBowl, but he gives his players and his teams a chance by getting #1 managed to some degree that it doesn't impact the level of play on the field.

yes we can certainly agree to disagree....i will say you can be a good leader and a jerk (which he was in that last game calling the fans to be violent). I don't know that either you or i could speak to what he has told his brother about saying negative things about his teammates....not defending him but just stating a fact that neither you nor i have visibility to that situation.

I think its a fair statement to say in the 6 years since he was drafted, he has certainly been demonstrated as the leader of this team - looking back to the playoff win against seattle and the near comeback against GB, he has certainly show that, at times, he can demonstrate the leadership not just in the lockerroom but also on the field.

Would be nice to see it come to a head this year and get to a nfcc game.
I think people confuse being liked by teammates, and some rah rah talk,
with being a good leader.
playing smart during the game is also important, and that is something I havent seen a lot of with dak.

A good example is rodgers gets the ball snapped and catches the other team with 12 men quite a few times, and dak has never done that.

another example is the last play of the WC game, dak was not a smart leader on that play, or they would have wound up with time for one more play.
