Jabril Cox - a standout prospect from the 2021 NFL Draft who was working on the cords with trainers at OTAs - afterwards told CowboysSI.com that his timetable for a full return is the late-July start of training camp in Oxnard.

"I feel great in my workouts,'' Cox told us. "I'm happy with where I am. I plan on being ready at camp.''

Cox, a 24-year-old playmaker at LSU (the fourth-rounder had 6.5 tackles for loss and three interceptions in his final season) was to play a big role in Dallas’ linebacker rotation during his rookie year. But he suffered a torn ACL that forced him to miss the bulk of the year.

Cox said his long time on the sideline allowed him a learning experience.

"I got to see the game from a different perspective,'' said Cox, who according to coach Mike McCarthy has spent his offseason at The Star "non-stop.'' "It was humbling.''

I'm really looking forward to seeing him play this year, he showed a lot of potential last year prior to getting hurt.

By week seven he should be starting over LVE. We all know LVE isn't going to be here in 2023, so we might as well give Cox some playing time.

I thought he would have already been humbled by making plays at LSU and they still wouldn't make him the starter.

Cox was like the D side of Cris Carter "all he does is catch touchdowns" because all he did was make plays.

can't wait for him and Damon to be healthy...defense going to be scary for years to come and we haven't had this consistency on that side of the ball in a long time...it's kind of nice to have the defense carry us instead of rely for Dak to throw for 400-500 yards and win by 3 points

Cant wait to get a young back in here with playmaking ability and speed next season. Imagine a young stud to team with Pollard if we were to resign him?

He had flashes last year. Hopefully he comes back strong and can make an impact. We need all the help we can get.

He was the pick I was most excited about as far as getting great value for pick. If you watch that clip what should jump out is his closing speed. He and Parsons sideline to sideline speed…wow.
Definitely disappointed he didn’t get to finish his rookie year but I think he’s going to be really good

And Q is flooding the importance of the position and backing it up with some rook depth for Cox role insurance policy.
Doesnt matter who fills that role but it will be filled, it is a vital and necessary WLB role for Q.
