No but if Danny White had won a super bowl he might have made the Hall of Fame.

He was certainly a lot closer to really getting to a super bowl than Romo ever was

I know...he never sniffed the Super Bowl. But let's just say back in 2007 Dallas doesn't gets beat by the Giants, beats the Packers and then NE in the Super Bowl. Would you say he gets in the Hall eventually?
Well, his career numbers are better than Kurt Warner, so I don't see why not.

If it included him playing 2-3 more years (So another 12-13k yards, etc.) plus the SB win?
Yes

That would launch him into top 15 all-time in everything and everyone near him or even well below with SB wins would be HOFers.

Right. I think it would be iffy without the longevity because Hall of Fame voters sometimes get too caught up with certain benchmarks ... sometimes. (They can be inconsistent.)

But with his statistical success, it might be enough. One Super Bowl win would also mean three or four playoff victories. That would change his playoff record to 6-3 or 5-3, which would add to his chances.

Well, Warner went to three Super Bowls, even though his teams only won one, so I think that has to be factored in. Of course, there are Hall of Fame QBs who only went to one as a starter (Namath, Young) and some that didn't make it to any.

Kurt Warner has 2 league MVPs and 9 career playoff wins. He’s represented 2 different franchises in the SB and is a champion.

how many QBs have done that? Multi-time league MVPs are basically a lock. “Numbers” don’t go nearly as far

I think he gets in anyway for overall achievements, the top announcer gig he has now will make that happen,.
plus tony was always well known, and they like to put those types in.

With 1 SB win Tony would be a shoo-in for the HOF!

Romo will be in the HOF
He really won't. Absent playoff success the numbers have to be overwhelming for a QB, and like it or not, career length and cumulative stats like career yardage and career TD's are a big part in voter's minds. He's 36th in career yardage and 24th in TD's. Aikman wouldn't be in without the Super Bowls. The stats just aren't there.

If he had just got to the playoffs consistently and had some moderate success he may even have had a chance without a SB ring. That's why Jim Kelly is in despite stats that aren't as quite as good as Romo.

It’s possible but I think there needed to be additional playoff success to make it an easy decision. His work in the booth could tip things and allow him in anyway. Most like him now and he could eventually get enough votes based on his playing stats and broadcasting career combined.

There's no doubt in mine nor many other NFL fans mind that Romo will join that tiny list of NFL quarterbacks who never reached a Superbowl. Warren Moon, Sonny Jurgensen & Dan Fouts. Romo owns many records. BOOM!

Well, Jerry was voted in so I guess that opens the door to pretty much anyone. I still shake my head that Jerry made it in while so many Cowboy greats from the past keep getting overlooked.

To answer the question, though, It would have taken a minimum of a super bowl win for Romo to even get mentioned in the HOF talk. As it stands now he will be soon forgotten because he always seemed to choke in the big games.

Jerry was inducted as a "Contributor", not as a player. He didn't get in instead of Howley and others. They weren't considered together and Jerry was chosen over them. The criteria is entirely different, and his induction was completely unrelated.

Jerry got in for things like marketing and promoting the league - the business side of things. He was at the forefront in making sponsorship deals common. He bought the team for $140 million and now it's the most valuable sports franchise in the world with a value of about $6 billion. Obviously the 1990's success plays some part, but more broadly he keeps attention focused on the NFL and on the Cowboys, and helps keep the money flowing. Like it or not the NFL is a business, and Jerry is very good for the NFL on that front

If I could post a gif of Leo in Wolf of Wall street without being benched I would. But I will just say it without the gif.

ABSOULUTELY NOT!

Left out a word
