Cowboys will leave Oxnard after the Aug. 10 practice and then head to Denver for joint practices with the Broncos before their preseason matchup on Aug. 13. It has been predicted that Dallas would prefer to not sign a veteran WR until they leave Oxnard, so they can get the rooks/young WRs a bunch of snaps to see what they have with them, and who, if any, could make the team or practice squad vs being released.

Now that they've had a good look, do you think they will add a vet WR before the trip to Denver, or wait until camp resumes at the Star?

They’re going to wait. It definitely won’t be before Denver. I think it will be after the second preseason game, if they do it at all.

Personally I think they’ll just roll with what they have and wait for Gallup to get back.

I don't care when they do it as long as they do it. The idea that a team may go into the season with a 3rd round rookie draft pick from a small school, Noah Brown and a bunch of guys who have never or barely ever played behind CeeDee and think that is a smart way to construct an NFL roster is remarkable. To do so knowing your first game is against a team that you could not run on and threw the ball against 58 times last year in week 1 is just mind boggling.

It's downright arrogant.

if they add one...my guess is when the roster is getting tweaked to the final 53.
unless during these pre-season games they look like they are in a disney movie BEFORE the miracle at the end.

We won't be signing a FA wide receiver.

Jerry is a lot of things, but he’s never been intentionally deceptive to the media. He likes to hear his own voice, and wants people to respect him; what he said is likely the truth about not signing a guy to come in and be that #2 or #3; doesn’t mean they won’t bring in 1 more guy on the back end for further injury insurance, but Week 1 is probably Tolbert-Lamb-Brown.

So you won’t be watching, right? Just a waste of time. Maybe a John Wick film instead?

Oh, I see now. We are being sly.

Stephen Jones will come into the ring and jump off the top rope with a steel chair in a few weeks.
