I agree he’s pretty awful which is why it amazes me why so many fans on this board talk him up as something viable at QB. There’s some on this forum that would rather have Taylor than Dak. Lol

Not over Dak but if he was a healthy Taylor or Cooper Rush give me Taylor . Telling you this new GM Coach combo are not waiting on 17 games for Jones to figure things out .

It’s telling how much the team likes Cooper Rush absolutely no competition. Would like to see Dallas draft a QB at least round 4 or so in 23 shake up the meeting room .

I would take Taylor over Cooper Rush. Most of the board would do that. As a backup QB I would be fine with him but you have some fans here who actually think the Cowboys could go deep in the playoffs with Taylor which is laughable! In his only playoff appearance he completed only 45% of his passes for 134 yards and one INT. He was horrible!

Slap a "4" on the back of that jersey and you'd swear you were watching Dakota "Toad Hunter" Prescot winging it to another mystery receiver or TE! Dang, Jones and Prescot could be twin brothers from different mothers!
Can someone explain the "toad hunter" thing with Dak? I must have missed it.

Seemed to be more on the WR than QB. It’s a curl route and the WR didn’t curl. Just stopped and looked back really.

You bet! Dakota "Toad Hunter" Prescot is notorious for building up his stats against the bums or as I like to identify them as toads in the league, But, when it comes to facing teams like the Cards or 9ers he's nowhere to be found, they shut him down like he's some rookie playing in his first game. For a $160 million dollar QB, he should be at the top of his game knocking off top teams in the league getting his mates deep in the playoffs or better yet to a SB. But unfortunately for Cowboy Nation we're stuck with the TOAD HUNTER, who disappears in the BIG GAMES!

Appreciate the response. That is a lot to take in. I'm not totally sold on the guy but man that is brutal. I won't say you're wrong because the results speak for themselves. This is the year for Dak in my opinion. Show us what you got!

That receiver should be cut on the spot. What kind of route was that? Back into a cut?

Looked like he may have lost his footing a bit. Either way, that pass was awful. I'm loving this version of Daniel Jones. May he continue to suck.

Taylor is a very average QB which is why he bounces around the league. Go look at his career numbers they scream AVERAGE. He was given every chance in Buffalo to be their QB and he couldn’t get it done. Joe Flacco was much better than Tyrod Taylor during his prime years. I would take Bridgewater over Taylor.
I’m just saying the caliber he is.

Go back and look at his talent in Buffalo. Wasn’t working with much.

Well, it looks like the receiver was expecting the ball to be at that spot as soon as he turned. However, he had created no separation with the DB, so that would have been a dangerous throw, so he does need to understand that he needs to come back to the ball. The question would be, though, where was he expected to be because if he comes back and Jones is throwing to the spot where he turned, then that would for sure cause an interception.

We tend to put blame on either the quarterback or receiver without knowing what the specifics of the route are. Whatever the route was supposed to be, I agree with Jones for throwing it where he did. If he'd tried to squeeze it in, it might have been a pick.
Yeah I don’t know what route he was suppose to run it just looked sloppy and half assed.

There was some talent in Buffalo but he’s a very average QB. Buffalo made it to the playoffs with him one year but he was horrible! This is why they moved on from him and drafted Josh Allen the following April. Buffalo’s problem was at QB.

What talent? Sammy Watsons and a past his prime Lesean McCoy? Buffalo got better when they got Diggs….to go along with Allen.

The Bills wouldn’t have moved on from Taylor and used a top five pick on a QB if they didn’t think he was the problem. So what exactly are you saying, if you started a team you would be fine with Tyrod Taylor as your starting QB?

I have a hard time knocking Daniel Jones. He's been pretty tough through a terrible period for that team. The coaching has been horrible, Oline even worse, RB can't stay on the field, and a suspect group of WRs. Giants might be on a better path with the new regime, we'll see? but they've been an absolute disaster. Poorly run and poorly coached. If any player ever needed a change of scenery it would probably do wonders for Jones.

As for the video, What the hell is with that route? Hard to blame the QB.

Great post. I am of the same opinion. People come to way too quick opinions taking nothing into consideration. I think Jones is a halfway decent QB. But I can never understand why they took him 6th overall. That was stupid. They could have drafted him with their late first round pick.

This is great. I love this post. It's mostly true. Even though I am not a huge Dak fan, I can't put it all on him. He simply doesn't have the supporting cast he needs, nor the coaching staff. Dak is good, just not good enough to overcome that.
