they were #1 last year with the same center position leaking along with left guard. Its not a strech for it to happen again

We shall see. But minus Amari and a healthy Gallup for the whole season I don’t see it. Our receiving core as is is pedestrian.

actually, made the playoffs at 12-5 with a league leading penalty's, not much of stretch with an improved defense if they fix the penalty's they go a lot further.

you have 14 penalties, lose by only 6 to the 9ers

id say MI is onto something..:popcorn:
The division is likely to be better this year
And saturdays game had even more penalties than most games even last year
If they play this year with that amount of penalties we may not even win this crappy division

The division is tougher (though it is still the East), the offense is unquestionably worse as your WR group is worse, and more injured, your RB room just got a year older, your OLine did not improve in the main areas it needed to. Meanwhile the defense is largely the same unit with a weaker DLine and it was average WITH a stronger DLine so it is not likely to be better. So the strength of the team got worse, the weaknesses of the team are the same, and the division got tougher, so while I think they are still better than the rest of the East Irvin is 100% overhyping here.

well i wont argue that losing cooper may have an impact because he was a presence when he decided he wanted to be but Gallup whom i like only played 9 games last year anyhow so we didnt have him a good chunk of the year and stii had a good offense. (except when it mattered)

I am not gonna worry till its time to worry. I see an improvement in Brown hopefully hes ready for Primetime and lamb we know is. The other question mark being the rookie Tolbert

I think he must mean head to head… as in our current team playing against the 75-80 year old survivors of that 1972 Dolphin squad. It would be a close one, but I think we would be favored by +3 points (if it’s a home game).

so your if and butts mean do NOTmean more or less then Mikes. Sorry Charlie , when fans or media want to promote a narrative , its ok because so many fans in here so just that ;ay the whit if guessing game..no one knows,.If dak doesnt go down in 2020 we win that division going away that year as well.i know this in my gut.,.so our division possibly can get better But so can we..defnsively especially

add in have 50% less penalty's and i can see why Mike said what he said..fans only like negative story lines anything that opens the mind up to positivity and dreaming isnt allowed around here.it gets pissed on immediately. :espn:

I say we have shot at at least an NFCCG this season, I can feel it , If im wrong, we can revisit in February. Enjoy The ride its short one.

Irvin’s forgotten more about football than you’ll ever learn.
Love the Playmaker......but he certainly would get a call from Roger regarding testing.......right now!!
No doubt there are numerous Cowboy Fans - especially the younger ones -that are tired of, and weary of Irvin's never-ceasing \ never-ending positive proclamations about what the Cowboys can do each and every season.
Especially since he currently does so weekly on ESPN's weekday show "First Take" with resident Cowboys Fans provacatuer = denigrator Stephen A. Smith.

But what we all should remember about Michael - he was the first of our famed "Triplets" to arrive in Big D -
and was the last great hurrah for the iconic NFL trioka of Schramm, Brandt, and Landry.
Former coaches and teammates testify no one practiced harder than him.
And who can forget those sideline admonishments and castigations Irvin would deliver to the team on the sidelines during games when he knew the team was underperforming.

Yeah - his behavior off the field was far from the best...but so were other sports "heroes" - Mantle, Rose, Magic, Barkley, Hornung, Vick.

I'm looking forward to see during this 2022 season which Cowboys player(s) "put a foot up his teammates' *****" when they underperform during games ...ala "The Playmaker".

I'm one that witnessed the arrival of the Triplets.....one by one.....and a dynasty was born until Jerry's ego got in the way.
