Using the Offensive Line as an excuse is so weak

The Cowboys' biggest concern was their inability stop the run. It was supposed to be biggest focus of improvement in 2022, but the Cowboys allowed Tampa's Fournette to run over them for 127 yards on 21 carries.

It does mot matter if the OL does okay the fact is Dak does NOT trust the OL.

It's in his head, it causes poor decision making, and he can't get over it.

If everything is perfect (dominate OL, great running game, top receivers) Dak
is good for 10 wins a year but he's not good enough to shoulder the team
in the playoffs.

IMO, Jerry chose poorly.

While Tom Brady is of course the GOAT, watching him throw compared to Dak is vastly different and for years people questioned Brady's arm strength yet he was easily throwing with more strength and distance than Dak last night.

The injury to Dak's hand last night is unfortunate in many ways but mostly because I would have wanted to see if those mechanics remain the same or improve.

Bottom line: Dak has either not fully physically recovered from that ankle and calf injuries or mentally he can't move on from those injuries. Either way, something is simply just not right.

Dak doesn't seem very concerned about what his feet are doing when he throws the ball. Jumping in the air and twisting while he releases it, and other idiotic things like that. It's very clear that he overestimates his own abilities.

No doubt Lamb had a bad game BUT, if they knew what was comming thats not good. Many here have been saying KM is a problem, just like the stat argument for the players is only against bad teams so goes the "#1 offense" rank for the OC last year...a good defense seems to give him red hair and make him clap alot.

I thought the oline played pretty solid and can't be blamed for any offensive struggles. Moore, Dak, and the WRs played a terrible game.

The oline had flaws but when they held up long enough which was alot more than people gave them credit for the ball was thrown at the strength of the coverage or overthrow

The O Line against one of the better D Lines they will face played better than expected. The QB on the other hand played worse than expected, and to be clear I had very low expectations. To be fair I will say at this point the team does not have a number one receiver. Cee Dee ain't it. Three year rule applies. For God sakes don't pay Cee Dee.

Look I get it everybody's frustrated with the performances of individual players but at what point are we going to realize that this is the same thing that has been going on for the last 25 years countless quarterbacks countless wide receivers countless coaches everything has changed in this franchise the one thing that has remained the same as we've had the same ownership group since the freaking late 80s.

O-line has always gotta be an outlet excuse to deflect blame from the QB position here. There's been several posts regarding worse o lines but the QBs of those worse o lines still getting the team to postseason success.

This QB can't adjust to compensate for any personnel loss or talent decline.

It's pretty clear at this point.

This QB needs top players at many positions in order to succeed. While other elite QBs are able to do more with less this QB historically has done less with more.

I agree, but again I need a real HC/OC here to say "This is the problem" and I'm not sure our GM would ever allow it. The OC is a joke..again he has never even called a HS offense...fing joke.

In the short time Rush was in he looked 110% better than Dakota " Toad Hunter " Prescot! At least he was throwing passes longer than 5 to 8 yds. Also, if the O-Line is struggling so bad why in the heck is Pollard in the game on passing plays, he has to be the worst RB on the team when it calls for him to pickup blitzing LBs or Corners. He gets tossed around like he's a rag doll!

I'm all in on pointing the finger at Prescott, but the O line was trash too. The pass protection was awful. That's part of the reason Dak injured his hand on the defenders standing in the pocket. Twice. They allowed 4 sacks and bunch of pressure. Steele was a complete liability. McGovern got injured, Smith is green and Pollard learned how to pick up the blitz at the Braille institute. And, Moore is just complete trash calling this game.

The offensive line was terrible, Steele had 3 penalties on ONE drive.

After the first drive, it was either penalties or pressure, the times they didn't get pressure Dak was awful. He was unsure where to go with the ball and inaccurate when he did let it go.

The lack of speed at WR is a big issue as well.

I back this 100%. O-Line was not the problem, you see other teams O-Line letting guys get pressure, it's part of the game it's how your QB handles that pressure is where you Win or Loose. Dak for whatever reason cannot handle that pressure anymore. Call it lack of preseason, he's in his head, or the leg is still an issue. He had several good escapes yesterday and had his eyes down field and just made stupid decisions or errant throws. I would love for him to get it together i like the dude. but he's going on year 3 of excuses and he might have hit his ceiling and we need for him to get it together or move on in a couple of years. At min i draft a QB in round 2 or 3 next year and say we need a backup if you get hurt, so we can move forward until you get back. stroke his ego that way. as for the WR we saw 2017 how dak did w/out a WR that can get consistent separation, we've seen this before. as for CD im a OU alum and i've watched that guy since freshman year and he's a #2 at best he needs to be moved around and put in slot a lot to succeed. he does not get separation at the top of his route tree and if D-fense knows what's coming they will be on him like glue hince last night. Kmoore needs his Playcalling taken away until he gets it figured out. Big Mc needs to take over for now and slowly give Moore the back the playcalling. call it a lesson or whatever.

Needs next year draft.
