Another one of those kiss of death threads. You just knew back-to-back wins would have this fan base overconfident again. Never fails. Lol It’s not like the Cowboys have been blowing anyone out. Washington can play some defense. They shut out Philly in the second half last week. Philly has the number one offense. Washington has a win over Jacksonville who’s coming off back-to-back wins.

I do think we can potentially hold them to fewer points than anyone else has scored against us. Maybe not the 8 that Philly allowed, but 15 or less. That might be enough. Maybe the defense can give us a scoring boost.

Wentz agaisnt this pass rush....

1 or 2 INT ?

He won't last long enough to throw either. Micah Parsons is going to break him in half like Bane by the 2nd quarter.

Throw out history, recent trends, current play.

Play the game. None lays down for the other.

We’re probably going to have to hold them to 15 or less because 15 points is about what we’re averaging this season. Just putting a TD on the board has been a challenge for us this season.

I expect Washington to emphasize protecting Wentz this week, but they do have weapons on the outside that can make plays.

Washington is a bad team. I won't deny that but they are still a pro NFL team. Cooper Rush is going to have a 4-0 start to his NFL career and after that it gets harder and harder to remove the hot hand. Rush runs this offense better than Dak. Dak might throw the better football but Rush can read a defense better and is more calm than Dak. If we win this game I might buy my son a Rush jersey. Yeehah go Cowboys!!

Cooper "the gun slinger" Brady!!!! :lmao::lmao2::lmao2::laugh::laugh:

Rush is barely beating bad teams in a nail biter. And he is needing great run games a shut down D to do it. Dak was destroying bad teams. Dont you remember? "Duh Dak is stat padding against bad teams" "Duh lets see him beat great teams consistently".

I guess these comments dont apply to the great Cooper Brady eh?

How about we wait to see if we can beat the Rams and Eagles of the world before we anoint him?

Poor little troll falling prey to your own comments.

best case scenario for rush. pad his resume, avoid the true tests, dak potentially gets eaten alive, rush returns for the cakewalk. wild times

LOL.................you nailed it.

The best these trolls can hope for is for Rush to beat another bad team in Washington. Then have Dak come back against Rams too early, we lose, he gets hurt again, and Rush takes over.

High times in troll land.

Two scenarios here....
1. If the Cowboys keep the penalties at 5 or less they'll win by at least 17.
2. However, if they rack up their usual 6-10 it will be game on until the end.

Level of competition and TEAM play is how you judge games , game 1 is more like what we will get from the rams and eagles and the team best play better then they did against the BUCS.

Just please stop assuming one score wins against the Bengal's, comos, or if we beat WSH is the same. LMAO..sure its the same..

real players, FO, and coaches are not fans they know whose to blame.. game 1 was NOT just DAK.. only QB controversy would be from the fan base not the locker room. this is FACT every sane person can see the difference....

Daks job is not in jeopardy. there's no doubt!!

Why are you pretending that I said any of those things?

After a record high of 9 sacks in franchise history for Philly, Wentzie may get flown back to DC in a medic helicopter. :muttley:

I'd imagine they're going to do their best to protect the QB with a lot of quick action and runs. They'd be beyond foolish to expose Wentz to a lot of QB hits/sacks after what happened to him vs Philly. But you never know with these stubborn NFL coaches....

No doubt. This game is a lock. We need it and we're a bad match up for them on D. Way too fast and physical.

Why I'm comparing him to Tom Brady. He has that clutch gene. The 2022 Cowboys are eerily similar to the 2001 Patriots. Fantastic defense and a substitute QB gets thrown in after the QB1 (who both aren't elite but can put up numbers) get injured. Our substitute QB isn't elite right now but is playing his part perfectly and just gets this offense.

LOL.........Cooper "The clutch" Brady!!!

They just get better and better. The fallout from all this comedy is going to be epic. I never dreamed it would get this laughable.

The great Cooper Rush averaging 20 points per game!!!

I wouldn't use what happened against Philadelphia as an expectation of who the real Washington Commanders are. Consider Minnesota: They beat the Detroit Lions in a tight game, a team with one of the highest rated offenses in the league, and the team that came closest to beating Philadelphia. They also blew out the Green Bay Packers, a team most analysts have in the top 5 after beating TB. So why isn't Minnesota more highly thought of? Because of that game they played Philadelphia. If they played nearly ANY other team on their schedule week 2, NYG/Bears/Jets/Patriots/Saints/Colts, then Minnesota has that top 5 spot instead of Green Bay. But because of that Philly game, people are treating them like fakes. Detroit went into that game thinking Kirk Cousins was broken, Philly had the blueprint for annihilating the Vikings that everyone could copy. It was an aberration.

Same thing is happening with Washington. They gave up 9 sacks, they scored 8 points, they had net negative passing yards at halftime. But this is a Washington team that was among the league leaders in yards after week 2. They laid it to the Jags. A jags team that has the only shut out of the season (against a team that the Chiefs couldn't beat). A jags team that just blew the doors off the Chargers. Yes Herbert was injured, but he doesn't play defense. Jacksonville dropped 38 on them... were they about to score 40 on JAX? Unlikely the way that D is playing. WaCom's only other loss was to the Lions, a back and forth affair to the team that kept pace with Minnesota. Yet because both the Lions and the Commanders also played Philadelphia early in their schedules, everything else is thrown out and that's all anyone harbors on. An anomaly opposed to what we saw before, or likely what we'll see going forward.

And now Philly will play that Jacksonville team. The team that shut out the Colts, beat them by one of the largest score differences of the year, and then elevated that differential the next week against LAC. If Philadelphia beats them big as is predicted by the oddsmakers, does that immediately discredit anything Jacksonville did previously? Or do we begin to set aside anomalous performances based on outlying circumstances?

Focus on the trends on display, not the anomalies. Washington has a good offense that is capable of big plays, as they displayed in their "other" two games.

really UMM NO..you do realize ,

Daks job is not in jeopardy. there's no doubt!!

how about this,

  • defense better not give up 4 straight scores to the offense to start a game and stop the run- FAIL
  • OL better not have 11 penalties and create a mess of behind the chain play calls and have big plays called back, FAIL
  • Offense better be able to run the ball and not be one dimensional, they did NOT! FAIL
  • Defense best not be offsides 3 times in the 2nd half extending drives and eating clock FAIL
  • the ref that needs to set ball needs to not jog back and have fat-tired OL beat them to set the ball- FAIL
  • coaches better have great gameplan and payers execute it- FAIL
  • Fans FEEL DAK should be superhuman and overcome all the above issues -FAIL
Got that bud.. i saw all those alleged failures buy our qb last year and other then the denver game, IT WAS NOT DAK. Many looked just like the 9er game, same issues.. Guess what TB game 1 much of the same.. what are you looking at, i see whats going on.

Dak could use soem support in game how about 2016 that GB playoff game, defense choked. Our offense battled back 3 times to tie or take the lead and defense gave it right back
2018 plays rams game defense gave up 250yards rushing, owned the clock ,and our OC couldn't draw up plays to move the ball,.
seems awfully familiar

Romo experienced similar situations and got the same nonsense from fans.
I didn't say I would endorse a controversy, but you can bet there will be one if things fall like I described.

NOPE

Only thing i see is a tough decision for the coaches and FO..

IF,

dak misses the rams and eagles and we beat them as well and coopers now on a roll at 5-1.. not a controversy, just have to think about momentum and how changing the QB might effect it.. however, i dont see either of that happening.

they did most of it with 4man line and not sure we will repeat that effort because they may make changes to the offense by then. Like run it 35times LOL 3 TEs every pay only throws if they are desperate or worse put in Heineke in, the Cowboys are one of the teams he plays well against.
