Collins was the Better talent, Steele is better at his overall consistency in on field play. seems more driven and wants to get better. Collins was lazy , inconsistent, had larger salary, one idiotic move from being suspended again.

we removed many players this off season like Collins..

It made sense

Gregory
Collins
Zuerlein
Cwill
Jarwin
AC
all at times overpaid, inconsistent, unavailable, etc etc they were a large part of our 2nd half collapse last year, yes at times soem of our best payers but in the long run it made us better.

I don't agree with you completely. Money wouldn't have been an issue if Dallas didn't believe Steele and Collins were close in ability.
I am not saying Collins was great- and haven't noticed any drop off this year. I liked Steele playing last year when Collins was out. Collins was always a suspension risk, he can't control himself. But lets not act like Collins was no good, lol.

I like it when he gets downfield and pancakes people. A type of play that is impossible for Collins to do.

that was literally collins calling card lol. I wanted to keep Collins, but am happy to eat crow. I don't mind being wrong when it's better for the team.

He’s far more agile but I don’t think he’s better than Collins. A lot cheaper though!

He's a cheerleader. Nothing more.

Steele is a backup level player. We need a real RT.
if you were our GM Im sure wed have a star at every position. and be under the cap. Im gonna call Steven and tell him the fans want to replace him with you.

Would have been nice to get something for Collins though. We even got a shiny new 7th in getting Hankins.

There is no doubt about it. The move to go with Steele was by far the right decision. The trolls and crybabies had a field day with this move and they were totally wrong. Go Cowboys!

lol, this is childish.

Crazy how fast Collins fell off a cliff. He was elite for a bit.

I am not sure how PFF grades work, but for the season Collins is ranked 8th amongst Tackles were Steele is 62nd. I haven’t seen much of Collins, actually only the game against us which he was so so, but I’m not understanding the 62nd ranking for Steele.

I am obviously missing something.

True. Collins is done. Good move by the FO for moving on.

Collins is the better player. Anyone who argues Steele is an upgrade at RT would be misguided & based on what we saw in 2021, that is not true.

To put it into perspective, Collins was the 15th ranked tackle by PFF grading & Steele was 58th. There is no debate that the former LSU lineman is better.
Collins has been very bad this season. He is unreliable on and off the field. He has helped the Bengals lose games.

PFF is full of **** is what you are missing. A better understanding would be watching Collins play and watching his head coach ***** him out on the sideline.

Collins could barely line up early in the season and spent a lot of time on the ground after getting his *** beat.

not sure what you clicked on but that link shows Collins #69, Steele #29 which seems right.
