Our punter can actually tackle (when he has to 'cause he's outkicked his coverage).

Another one for me, it should make Linehan less likely to abandon the run going forward. After reading his quote that he will probably realize he should have run more after watching the film, I expect that he will know he can't over think our strategy. Our running game is the strength of this offense and opens the door for everything else...including our defense.

Sometimes when your running back loses the ball it effects you're play calling just like when your QB is getting picked off.

I'm not saying that's what happened but it's in there somewhere.

Last time the Cowboys lost a game they won six in a row afterwards.

This would be my favorite. There's probably no one on here that thought we weren't going to wet the bed at some point. That said, I really didn't think it was going to be last night.

Easily the biggest positive is that we didn't lose Romo. Our season is instantly over if he's injured. Yeah we might be able to sneak into the playoffs because of our record at this point... but the ultimate goal is a super bowl. No way in hell Brandon Weeden takes us to the promise land and beats Peyton Manning in the super bowl. Be thankful that those x-rays were negative. Every team has bad games. It happens, especially in division rivalry games. Let's move on.

I figured it would be good to have an uplifting thread to ease the pain of last night's loss. What Positives did you take away from last night? Here's mine:

1) there is no way this team can become over confident for the remainder of the season.
2) we still lead the NFC East despite the loss.
3) the Commanders will have a false sense of hope for the remainder of the season, only to see their dreams get crushed again once they realize that the skins from last night was an anomaly and that RG will not be their savior.

That's all I got. What say you?

1. Better to lose like that now than in the playoffs. At least the Cowboys have time to address what looks to be a blueprint to dictate to both sides of the Cowboys ball.
2. A loss like that could galvanize the team.
3. Potential help for the defense is on the way - DLaw, Brent, Okoye.
4. The run game is still a proven weapon. Thus far, no one has figured out a way to nullify that threat.
5. It ain't my fault. Did I do that?

I thought JJ Wilcox had a nice game. OScan played well, O-Line continues to prove it can pound teams in the run game mercilessly if asked to do so. Weeden in a max protect package can perform in this offense. Jones punted well.

Hated everything else.

It's hard to find anything positive after a loss like that. Weeded is a good back up QB. We can expect Arizona to attempt to exploit the Cowboys apparent inability to defend the blitz... knowing that, we can counter the blitz with screen passes and exploiting the slot in the middle... those tend to go for more yards when the blitz is active. And last but not least... no one has been able to shut down our running game yet, let's have more of that.

Positive is that we got to watch the real Cowboys. Those last 6 games were a fantasy.

We can still run the ball effectively, Arizona is at home, and Jerry can still get from his suite... to the locker room ...to the field....and back to his suite... in a blink of an eye (old man still has it).

stop supporting mediocrity.

I guess we should just take our 6-2 record and crawl into a hole and wait to die. Every team, including the so called elite teams will have games like this. it doesn't mean that nothing positive happened as a result of the outcome.
