They literally might cut him today. I think you're missing a few details.

But they aren't going to cut him, they're cutting RG3, they needed to spend to the cap floor, so they're taking on a huge contract on a guy that isn't a starting Qb and his contract...I understand the second round pick included....

Pretty wild
They did get some cap space, but they gave Cleveland Osweiller AND much more value in draft picks:laugh:

I guess clearing Osweiller off the books and getting some cap room meant alot
I can not imagine the feelings going through Osweiller's head. humbling

Theyre reporting that Cleveland is already receiving calls about teams trying to trade for Brock Osweiller because I guess that Cleveland has to eat the deal for a year.

Cleveland won big on this.

Clevelands front office makes great moves every offseason but it never translates to the field.

Frankly, it wouldn't surprise me if Romo took a look at that Cleveland roster and says "You know what? We can work with this." And CLEVELAND gets Romo. Picking up more picks, all the salary cap space in the world, and as you said, Cleveland's front office has been making some pretty solid moves recently. We all dismiss the Browns because they've been so bad for so long, but they MUST have some sick talent on that roster, they've been drafting high every year.

No. Cleveland only get's his salary for this year.
If Cleveland trades him no CAP problems unless there is a structured bonus payment inside his contract for a specific date he is on that team.

Oh they could do a very quick turnaround if they got Romo and signed back Pryor.

They have a gazillion draft picks.

I live near Cleveland. Believe me, there is little talent on their roster. Yes, they have been picking high for years, but guys like Manziel, Weeden, Trent Richardson, and Justin Gilbert. They do have a boat load of draft picks the next 2 years. If they actually do well, they could be a force in the future.

At worst, we're looking a fourth for Romo. Sweet!

I live near Cleveland as well as Buffalo and Crapsburgh. It's about time these Browns fans get to feel like they've won something because they obviously haven't been winning on the field. And I apologize, but I disagree that their current roster lacks talent. Duke Johnson is a younger Darren Sproles. Joe Thomas is Joe Thomas. One of the best oline men even at his age. Joe Hayden may not be a shutdown corner but he'd be our #1 CB if brought in now. Gary Barnidge is a solid TE. Corey Coleman is someone that I'd LOVE to have in here as our #2 WR. Carl Nassib and Emmanuel Ogbah are two guys that you can build a D around. In summary, these guys aren't really that far off. And I'm not even including Josh Gordon, Prior and their #2 pick this year.
