You only had a handful of teams romo would have played for
It's not like the whole league was really an option
He is also older and had serious injuries back to back seasons
Come on man

But teams said they was interested in him. They just wasn't going to throw a pick for him.

Yikes. Not sure why they would do this. He's a vet presence that knows the scheme and good depth at a position of need.

Would we gain any cap space if he's cut?

You mean like Byron Jones 2 years ago, and Brown last year? It is not all at once. If there was a year to let a couple DBs go it was this year.

Wait you mean Ian Rappaport reported a BS story? Go figure. Worst "insider" in the business.

Where did he come to that conclusion? From twitter? Fisher? I doubt it was from the Jones'.
Some guys posted it in the day 2 draft thread. I guess a local reporter spoke to Oscan and he said said he was aware he was on the block. It's more than likely total bs media story and take it for what it's worth

I think it started with Rapaport. Need anything else be said?

He was actually the first one to report it and now all the local guys are getting on bird.

The guy gets a bad rap (no pun intended) but he does have some sources and he is occasionally right.
He has been called out by multiple people including my sports leader Bob Sturm for making up stories. Not just getting a story wrong, but completely making one up. When confronted on this he cowardly blocked Sturm. The guy is a complete and total hack.

like Scandrick and don't want to see him gone....period....but, if they moved him for draft capital, then so be it....someone else said that maybe marinelli wants ALL of his own guys and since Rod was signed for 5 years, time to move on OScan? I dunno

Edit: if they did move him, I am almost OK with a 2018 pick...we will be loaded with picks next year and then can use the bounty to move up or to get more picks in 2019...win-win

I am sure all of them tweet something that may be irrelevant with little sources. If you want to be the first to report on something, sometimes you have to take chances...Rap takes too many. Sometimes he is right...seems like he got this one before the local writers knew about it and I remember the Murray/Eagle trade; he was spot on the whole time weeks before anyone else reported on it when everyone was trashing him.

Point is...these guys have sources. Chances are they are wrong and most of the time they are vague rumors but don't dismiss everything they report.

Scandrick believes the team is shopping him. I don't think he's basing that solely on a Rappaport rumor. He made that known to both Fisher and Josina Anderson last night.

Agree to disagree. What you are saying may apply to most NFL Insider types, but not Crap Sheet. He's the exception
