I haven't seen either show, so this may have been said in the show.

In another system, Aikman could have been a stats monster. But he coveted team goals above his own stats and notoriety, so you have never heard anything from him when idiots point to his TD or yardage totals as explaining why he was a "good" QB. He may have been the most accurate passer ever.

Enmity was doubted at every level. I recall an interview with a LB who played against him at every level. He said the story was always the same.

I'm paraphrasing, but essentiallytiff us Wendy he said:
Whether it was high school, college, or the NFL, in the game prep, the coaches prepared the defense for this"great" rb. Then we played the game, and at the end I thought, yeah, he was OK, but nothing great. Then I realized his team had beaten us 27-14, Emmitt had 136 yards and 2 TDs, and stoned me on my 2 blitz attempts. Damn, he was just a craftsman who gave everything on every play.

I remember looking at Zeke Elliott run the ball last week against the Giants, where he ran for about 20 yards on a swing pass, and I saw similiarities in Elliott's running style/body type compared to Emmitt's. However, looking at the AFT for Emmitt, the character gap could not be greater between the two even at similar ages. Emmitt's questionable choices seem limited to what he wore when getting off the plane.

Zeke seems to be the shining example of the pampered athlete, who hasn't grown up enough yet. Emmitt's goal list for the `93-'94 season shows a maturity that we can only hope Zeke finds. Race relations would be improved too, if the mutual hard work and respect that Emmitt and Daryl Johnston forged in their friendship, became the model for so many points of strife throughout our culture.

Emmitt's example ascends to prominence because of the spotlight on the Dallas Cowboys, and everyone who pays attention to it will be better for it. Right, Zeke?

Emmitt is the GOAT. The way he patiently navigated his way through the mass of body's, both at the line, and at the second level.

Everyone talks about La'veon Bell and his patience (and rightfully so). But he wishes he had the patience Emmitt desplayed before he exploded up field. It's not even close. Emmitt pats Bell on his head and says "atta boy, little one"

I was a sophomore myself. Emmitt got off to such a hot start that I thought he would get 2,000 yards that season. He actually had a decent shot at it until around Thanksgiving.
