Second time I've seen, "snowflakes", used in these discussions in the past 2 hours or so. Both instances the usage seems to be off. Starting to think people don't even know the proper context.
Snowflake is a term members of the alt-right use when they’re losing an argument.

The spike was just black-black murders and the spike was an outlier in historical data. The chances of coincidence are extremely low.

Still sounds like you have no data to actually back up that assumption.

It was my impression it was a substitute for the word Libtard

lol. While it is often used by the right to mock the left, the reason the word was chosen is because it carries the implication that a person is delicate. Fragile...like a snowflake. They need be protected in their "safe space" because they are too sensitive and become emotionally triggered.

It's more or less a catchy way to call someone a puss. In the context of player protests, it seems like that most appropriate usage of the word would be for those who are insulted, pissed off, or angered by someone exercising their constitutional right.

The chances of all outliers being present is extremely low. That's exactly why they are outliers.

thank you kindly for honoring us all to know the proper definition and use of the term according to your nonsense opinion - very smug and elitist of you but I'm sure you already know that.....

No, it's used for people that don't understand that when you resist arrest you're greatly putting your life in danger and it doesn't matter what the race is of the officer or the person being killed.

Nonsense opinion? Try to think of another reason for why that word was chosen.

Smug and elitist would have been me directing you to a google search.

Well, looks like I'm wrong here. See, we all learned something today.

Every NFL game I have been to I have heard the announcer say "please stand to honor our military in singing the national anthem". How is kneeling not disrespectful to men and women who serve this country?

IMO it is disrespectful, meant to be, and a purposeful thumb in the eye of people who least deserve it. It's a poorly aimed protest on a flawed concept. There are so many things to bring social awareness to but it's easier to point a finger at others rather then ourselves too

Resisting arrest should not put a person’s life in danger. That there are people in this country that are OK with cops killing those who resist arrest is a huge part of the problem. Until that changes, the protests will continue. I support them.

I turned the game off during the National Anthem for obvious reasons, being from a military family. I'll watch the Cowboys tomorrow night, as usual.

11 pages and no Mods, I'm shocked I tell ya. Let's get a thread going with babe pics, seeing as how they all must be on vacation today.

was wondering myself but figured this is a relevant NFL topic that is coming to a head and possibly some discussion about it is ok. Nobody seems to be getting overly personal, which maybe is why the thread hasn't been closed

I'm pretty tore up on this, when it was one or two guys... even 10 I don't care it is your right. I think it's a failed concept that is not bringing positive or constructive attention to your cause. We all have the right to be wrong and I've allowed myself to double down on my bad judgement more than once.

When people I know who casually watch, but enjoy the games began making comments like our President (who I support in general) about firing them and such I've defended them as I've found that to be ridiculous. You are always going to have people who don't appreciate, understand or care about the sacrifice it takes to have a fantastic Union as we do. That's fine we don't have to agree on everything. When an entire team does this I can't support that team or the organization that does it.

I just turned off the SNF Game, hopefully not all the Raiders were sitting, but my stomach turned when I saw that. I don't know what I am going to do if the Cowboys players protest I don't know if I can watch the NFL any longer. I don't mind the teams staying in the locker room, but I won't watch a sport where the entire team pokes it's finger in my countries eye. I am beyond sad.

I haven't watched one game all day.
