This runs deeper than Goodell. 31 other owners pull this guys strings. If they thought it wasnt fair they wouldve removed him. Just like if Jerry had a problem with the Brady case he wouldve said something. Goodell is a puppet of billionairs

True.

It was reported earlier in the offseason that a number of league owners were pressuring Goodell to make sure Elliott was suspended.

Kraft and Jerry are the most hated owners in the league.

How anyone could think that the NFL could do whatever it wanted and not follow even basic fairness was always beyond me.
The NFL needs to watch out.

B/W the pregame protests and the Railroad job on Zeker..

They are liable to not just lose fans..

but even sponsors.

That happens and you can forget about expansion.

The Las Vegas Raiders may never be.

The fans maynot support it.

From reading this article. It basically states that the NFL FLAT OUT is arguing that fairness doesn’t matter and that their contract allows them to do what they want.

So the NFL didn’t even bother trying to argue that their process was fair to begin with?

Unbelievable

Exactly...

The league doesn't care who they screw...as long as they are allowed to screw people without consequence.

Sounds like another lawsuit in the making to me. Slander? Civil suite? Defamation of character? Wouldn't be hard for a player like Zeke to prove he's lost millions in endorsements because the NFL wanted to make him a scapegoat for their Ray Rice blunder. Just sayin.

Three judges have now looked at the case and

It is clear at this point Cowboys fans are far from alone in finding fundamental unfairness in this particular Goodell decision. If Goodell were honest with himself, he would agree.

National media has picked up on it too. Notice how the narrative is not about whether Zeke abused his ex, it's now whether the NFL can do what they want. Media realized they hitched their wagon to the wrong domestic violence accusation and has quietly shifted the narrative. If Zeke does ultimately win the discussion won't be Zeke isn't a domestic abuser, the narrative will be the NFL has to follow "fundamental fairness." And all the initial fake outrage and soap box hot takes about how dispicale Zeke is to hit a woman will be quickly forgotten.

The political forum was ended with very good reason. However, as this case goes forward it would lay out intersting examples of the typical differences between each side and it would be an intersting discussion if everyone could act like civil adults. Which is clear can’t happen.

This judge is the first to go outside of party lines with his opinion. This also says a lot about the injustice of this case. Clearly, it’s not like the Brady case.

So, we have judges from Bush and Obama siding with one another, Right? I know there's no politics involved in this case, just found that interesting since I believe someone brought that up that Crotty was a GWB pick?

Firing your commissioner because he isn't "being fair" doesn't seem like the best idea.

You have a commissioner so that the owners all have to listen to someone rather than quibbling amongst themselves.

Ultimately, I think it's more likely the owners just don't care. This is a player problem, not an owner problem.

Robert Kraft, who you'd think would have some strong opinions on this given what happened to him hasn't said a damn thing because the guy in the soup has nothing to do with him, just like Jerry didn't say a peep in Tom Brady's defense because he didn't know he'd be dealing with this a year later.

We have one judge,Crotty, that has broken from party lines. We all know bi-partisanship is very rare and that speaks to the unfairness and uniqueness of this case.
