Homer’s are hilarious. Make the Cowboys one demensional and Dak is a tad above average. Wentz can put up numbers with or without a running game. As a pure passer no comparison.

So why did everybody make excuses for him last year?

The Deadskins called pass plays on 3rd and 2 and 3rd and 1 in the first half, failed to convert either and Philly scored TDs on each ensuing drive. Last night Atlanta goes for it on like 4th and 7 from midfield with two minutes left in the first half and predictably give it right back to Brady who clinically marches for the TD right as the half expires. What is going on with coaching in this league?

Pure passer does not equal superior QB. Logic fail.

Could one possible explanation about why some Dallas fans on this site think Wentz is preferable to Dak, despite the fact that statistics say different, is that Wentz is white and Dak is not? I mean, digging through all the possible reasons, should we entirely discount this one?

He's not preferable to me.

But he's a legit QB and not some bum like some think. And yes, an argument can be made that he's Dak's equal, at least.

But interesting that the race card was played.

Except their GM snuckerd Minn out a number one for Bradford and recouped the assets they traded for Wentz. Basically they traded Bradford for Wentz.
And they traded Byron Maxwell for a LB and move up 8 spots in the draft.

Roseman basically erased 3 years of mistakes in one offseason

Two biggest plays of the game there.

Its possible, but not likely provable, so why go there?

Get ready for the dogpile

Simple fact is, this year, Wentz hasn't had a bad performance like Dak had against the Broncos.

No

It’s because one guy was the #2 overall pick and one was a 4th rounder.

That’s one of the top attributes you look for. If you had Dak and wentz on the same team and had open competition in training camp Wentz is going to win that battle. How many non great pure passers have won a super bowl? Russell Wilson ,Eli Manning ,Trent dilfer ? They had great defenses and great run games. That what it’s going to take for Dak to win the big one. As a Cowboy fan I’ll take it anyway I can.

Because there was never a love fest for RG3 on this site. There was never a love fest for Cam Newton. Or Jameise Winston.

I don't know about here, but I know a lot of Cowboys fans that said RGIII would be a problem for "more than a decade".

Also, I like Russell Wilson. Loved him coming out of college and thought scouts focusing on his height was absurd.

What I saw of Wentz last year made me think he sucked and was over-rated. A bunch of dinking and dumbing and inaccurate... haven’t seen him this year, but I’d be surprised if he turned out good from what I saw of his last year..

In fairness you just named three overrated QBs who happen to be African Americans.

People seem to think Russell Wilson is a good QB around here. Watson seems to have a positive buzz from some here too.

Interesting. Cultural conditioning, perhaps? I wouldn't rule it out.
