Blake Jarwin.

And Swaim is more explosive than Witten was. And of course Rico, if he can figure out how to play.
Jarwin had 19 catches his best year in college. This isnt Gronk we are talking about.
And Swaim isnt explosive at all. His mom wouldnt even accuse him of being this.

Yea, I hate it when players get complacent and only 50% effort just for a fat paycheck.
It's the whole culture thing and the checks are a part of it, but they also need to send a clear message that anyone can be replaced. I think they been doing that since Romo retired. Now they got to stay that way.

Yea, Romo and now Witten I think were the last ones on this roster that pretty much had a say in anything on the team, I don't see anyone else with that kind of clout now.

Swaim ran a 4.71 40 with a 35 1/2 vert.
Jarwin ran a 4.69 with the same vert.

Both of those guys are far more athletic than what Witten is right now.

Witten got 98% of the snaps. Hanna was the primary guy in two TE sets.

You can say we don't know what we have in Swaim and Jarwin. That's fair. But you can't say they aren't more athletic and offer more big play potential.

Also cutting Dez was a great move for sending the message of what this org is now about. There has clearly been a change at the top, Jerry is just a symbol now i think. Other people are doing the work and making the decisions. They are running the org better now. You slack your gone is the message i'm reading from this FO. It's a great message which will lead to winning if given the time. I really believe we are going to win a SB in the next 5 years if Dak and Zeke put the extra work in and stay on the field. High hopes but for a long time i had very little hope in the Cowboys.

hey NEW WR coach and OLine coach and others.. hold out hope these guys have the ear of those guys and we can exact some change.. new toys can do that
Sacrificing pawns on the chessboard won’t protect one from a superior chess player.

22 seasons of 2 playoff wins/no NFC Champ appearances tells me that “new toys” won’t get it done — especially
with Garrett (8 seasons/1 WC win/no NFC Champ appearances) at the helm.

Scheme probably won’t change, but the position groups we deploy will.
Then we need to rethink some things if we don’t change the scheme while bringing multiple players on an overhaul. You fire coaches at that point. I am in no way saying we will have a bad season and hope we run the NFC but it just doesn’t last with the same ol same ask Tony Romo he made that assessment in the booth.

Big play potential?
I think we just better hope one of these guys can read a defense good enough to run 10 yards, turn around and catch the ball.

Are you really believing we are going to see Jarwin or Swaim streaking down the field with the ball in their hands?

With Witten retired your not as predictable on 3rd and 7 or more. Witten was always going to block or be a hot read that would get no where near 7 yrds.

They would never pull him out because of the respect they had for him. I love the guy, but he should have been off the field a lot more last year.

Austin is intriguing
Don’t see the RB thing working because there is no threat to actually run between the tackles with his size and fumble issue
It could force defenses to protect the edges since he could run outside or swing out for a pass, that could open up some things for others
He may line up in the backfield but he’s no RB
Will he line up there some with Zeke? That could be interesting because with his edge speed you couldn’t stack the box or you risk the edge
He is an interesting player but limited
limited only by this coaching staffs imagination really

True but two other staffs have had him and the results were mixed at best. Mostly because of the turnovers which is on him
You just can turn the ball over at the rate he has

With the way that we run the ball we are not going to be put into many third and longs. Running the ball also helps score in the RZ. Dak is going to have all day to throw the ball but it really all comes down to him. They are setting him up to succeed.

For my money the OL and RB corps is gorgeous.

All it takes is a holding call and third and long is highly probable.

Zeke's gonna have carries where he gets tackled for a loss.

Being ultra predictable with 1st down runs is gonna have many times where nothing is accomplished.

I'm not sure what this receiver group is gonna be like, but I want to see what happens now on 3rd and long. That's the biggest question.

Love the Tavon Austin trade. Hope we'd get St. Brown in around 5, he went to GB in round 6.
