Just a few things.

He said no loser or no finger pointing over the ET offer. And if it is still on the table, do not expect anything until after week 3.
Trade deadline is October 31st. So most likely, wait and see what Seattle's record is, and also what Dallas's record is, to see if either team budges.

As for Chido. They are calling it back spasms, but will be cautious and will "nurse' the issue.
So he expects at least for practice today, Brown will be at CB and Lewis in the slot.

Woods is our, so Heath and Frazier at S.
Said Frazier said depends on his shoulder, and he expects to play, but he will be careful with the shoulder. Will see how it goes in the game. Other than that, there are names no one knows as fans, and joked the coached may not know the names either at S.

Cowboys wanted to offer a contract extension to Beasley, but the talks did not go well. According to Beasley or his agent, they said, just let the season play out and see what happens. Beasley will be a FA next year.

Bailey supposedly has 4 offers, as he turned down the offer from the Jets. As supposedly one team may pay Bailey more than what he would have got from the Cowboys, again, according to his agent. Said the term the Cowboys used and also around the NFL, as teams may think the same, "anticipation of decline"

I hate Seattle.
The team you should be mad at is your very own Cowboys...yet ANOTHER boneheaded missed opportunity by this FO. We should have grabbed the Lloka S from Cincinnati when he was available a few weeks ago. He would have achieved 2 things for us; provided much-needed depth for us at the safety position AND given us more leverage in the ET trade talks. Now, we have neither, and it could be a bloodbath in our secondary come Sunday.

IMO if you wait until the trade deadline to get Earl, you better have zero or no losses. If not, just wait until free agency. I wouldn’t send Seattle a second to cater to them sucking

I don't agree. We play seven games before the trade deadline. Let's say that we're 5-2 at that time or even 4-3. We've got a good chance of making the playoffs if we probably get to 10-6 and Thomas could be seen as the piece that puts us over the top, especially if our safeties are our one weakness on defense.

Frankly if we go 7-0 or 6-1 through those games, I'd be less inclined to trade for Thomas because there's less of a need.

So, if we have a couple of losses because of bad safety play, we just keep losing because we don't want to cater to a team that has something we need to get better. Hmmmm, ok. I think I got it.

Safety is an issue. It was an issue in February. It was an issue in May. It was an issue in July. It was an issue in August. And now it will be an issue in Sept.

Most logical people could see this.

If safety play is a factor in this season not being successful, the media in this town should rightfully call out Stephen and McClay for this major botching.

Im not upset about the Bengals safety and the Cowboys caved and offered what Seattle was asking for Earl Thomas.

Seattle just kept moving the goal posts on them.

I'd rather see what Woods can do over Iloka anyways.

Woods was always their fallback but he's out.

Speaking of which, who is going to cover Olsen now that Jones is a corner?

My understanding is that Heath has that responsibility now. However, with Frazier playing on a bum shoulder, I could see us using a lot more four-corner, one-safety coverage to limit his time on the field, as well as the new safety's.

Bailey's agent sounds a lot like Dez's agent. Teams may be waiting till after the first game so they don't have to guarantee his salary.

Anyone who was honest could see little depth behind Woods.

I could buy what the front office was selling if there simply weren't options out there. But there were. A decent draft class of safeties. Some decent, not great, options at S that should have fit into the main criteria of this front office - they were fairly cheap.

It's mindnumbing that they basically ignored this position this offseason.

They justifiably deserve blame for that. A starting option fell in their laps and they passed.

It was a stupid decision then, and it looks even worse now.

And I don't want to hear from any spin doctors trying to say different.

They screwed up the safety position.
