Like he's a monumental turd who will never get it. 25 years of this type of decision making and it's not going away. Very sad. No hope at all in the management of this football team. There's zero sense of urgency. Don't give a flying F about the fans and still hoping for the best with his boy toy.

Nothing really, not surprised. This is not about football, it is about family and making sure Booger is comfortable. Those surprised by what he said still hold onto that illusion that he's all about winning.

Don't forget, he was considering making him HC when he hired him. After such a successful stint as QBC Miami, who wouldn't?

And he is not the only one that has done this. Mike Brown wouldn't accept Lewis' resignation. How would that make you feel?

Jeff Lurie really liked Reid but he acted on behalf of the fans because that horse had run it's race. He not only wanted to win a ring, he needed to get one. Does Booger really need that? Is that really going to change his life? That would feed his enlarged ego but not worth the price of relinquishing control again as he did to Parcells.

This is the textbook "it is what it is" and it is not changing.

I feel the same as I did before. Jerry doesn't want a football coach who is going to steal his authority in the locker room. He wants a coach who will cater to Jerry first. The Cowboys will never win another championship until Jerry is out of the picture - and that assumes his son will not take over and do the same stupid stuff.

I used to think Jerry was like George Steinbrenner of the NY Yankees. But Steinbrenner wanted a winning team first, even if it meant eating crow and hiring Billy Martin back after firing him. Old George fired every manager who failed to win after Steinbrenner paid millions for players on the field. Jerry is not George Steinbrenner. Jerry bought a toy and he wants to play with it. He is having fun and he really doesn't care what everyone else thinks of the way he plays with his toy.

Disgusted...How far this franchise has fallen...I just shake my head. And I don't ever see it changing. About to change affiliations. 40+ year fan...

It makes me feel I know I made the correct decision to stop watching the team with 5 games to go last season.

It doesn’t move the needle for me one iota. Did anyone seriously think the Joneses would do anything but double down on Garrett in mid-October? If you did, you’ve been on some other planet for a couple of decades.

Barring a Wade Phillips collapse, circa 2010, nothing happens until January 2019. Of course, if we’re 4-10 heading into that 12/23 home date v Tampa, the 40,000 or so in the house that actually make sound will speak a lot louder than what Jerry had to say this week.

Grain of salt, kids.
