Again, if he's going to be ready for TC, he's going to be fine. Relax. He's not getting a hip replacement.

No, he didn't.
He was experiencing soreness and wanted to ride it out. And rest didn't allow it to go away so now he decided to get surgery. It was a clean up procedure.

The trade rumors are just that.

FRISCO, Texas – Cornerback Byron Jones had successful hip surgery this week with the goal of being back on the field for the start of training camp, according to reports.

Having the clean-up procedure now gives Jones time to rehab this offseason before camp begins, typically in late July.

Probably thought rehab would be enough to resolve whatever is bothering him and when it didn't surgery is next depending on what the injury actually is and when it occurred.

Team doctor actually schedules this stuff, not players. I mean, I gotta believe that the team knew what was up here. I would be hesitant to say that this was on Jones 100%.

It is a cleanup procedure not too concerned about it. He will be ready to go for camp

It's a contract year for Byron. He definitely is trying to be ready for the season. Hopefully he got good advice from our doctors.

Let me get this straight. You think Byron Jokes was putting off his surgery as leverage, despite being under contract for another season? He was waiting to hear trade rumors?

Why do you guys think the players are the ones who make these decisions? It's the doctors on staff. Surgery is not always the first option to go to, sometimes, it's the last.

There is this weird mentality going around right now where everyone believes players are keeping off getting surgery as some scheme against the team. That may be it for D-Law, but Jones benefits none here.

Some of you people are just ridiculous.

Byron has been a hard worker, good attitude player since the day he arrived to the Cowboys. Never been an issue off the field. He has also never missed a game in his NFL career thus far.

Now all of a sudden him getting minor surgery in the off-season is a sign of a conspiracy or him being a negative me first player? When having the surgery now allows him to be ready to go for training camp?

It’s lunacy.
