Wonder if they kick him outside to RT and replace Collins after season. Can also start at center and gives Cowboys some insurance if Frederick can't play. I like the pick. Super flexible and safe.

I like it. OL always suffers injuries, and this provides insurance on La'el leaving and Frederick still have issues recovering from his disease.

Sits and learns this year. Next year Collins walks and CWill moves to RT and this dude slides in at LG

Good player, good value here. I just want to know how bad the safety play has to get before someone does something about it?

This kid is the opposite of Hill. Great work ethic, limited athletically (will struggle with speed of NFL interior d linemen). Will allow them the flexibility to move on from one of these big OL contracts next year or two.

Cowboys seem to have the 2009 mentality, acting as if everything is fine. Not a great draft for us so far. The safeties are going to get us killed when games matter the most. One year they'll figure it out.

Exactly what I said.

This team is drafting like they have a perfect roster and just need to fill in a few backup slots.

Don't like this pick at all. We picked a backup G to possibly start in 2020 when we possibly move last years second round pick to tackle?

How does this help us this year?

Well, not many plug and play starters right now.

Everything is depth from here on out and the future.

Depth? Reminds me of the 2009 or 2010 draft that was predicated on "depth" and special teams.. That draft was god awful. We are not talented enough to be drafting depth. We don't even have enough starters. This has not been a good draft at all.

It just doesn’t make much sense.

We are drafting a backup like we have a loaded roster.

They also used up more than 20% of their visits in Safeties and just let them all go off the board when they could have grabbed one.

Relax, we could still trade for ET.

He’s a backup OG right now. That’s not great value especially when you have other needs.

Someone has to be moving or this doesn’t make much sense.

Look at the fan boy who can't see past right now.

Replace OG with QB and read that response to picking Aaron Rodgers.

With all of the injuries we had last year we need OL. I figured we would go tackle instead of guard but I can see this too.

If you are ready to make a championship run, you will never have enough depth or quality on either line.

That's what cracks me about some of these replies. "Great value" Is this guy even going to get on the field next year?
Probably not if things go right (when do they ever go right) but chances are no safety that lasts until the third round gets on the field either.

Norm: If Travis Frederick is ok, this kid probably doesn't see the field this year. Last year, Jeff Heath graded out 56th out of 58 safeties that were graded.

Don't hate it. The O line was actually not very good last season and now you have so many options if La'el walks in a year. He can Bulk up and add strength for an entire season without being force to start right away.
