2 seasons ago they were the best in the NFL. Players get old and injured and go to other teams. This is why you continue to try to improve your OL with new talent through the draft. Proactive not reactive. The only embarrassment is that we've invested all this into the OL and they're still mediocre.
Martin may be an All Pro Tackle too! Martin played Tackle in college. Whatever makes us stronger as a unit we should try.
Actually it is silly to not try things that may make us better. NE does it all the time with their players, play calls, and scheme and look how it has worked out for them.
These guys make millions and all they do is practice football. They should be a little flexible in what they can do. Again see NE.
> May be all-pro at tackle
> Played tackle in college
He's in the NFL now. What we DO KNOW is that he's all-pro yearly at guard. Stop overthinking, stop trying to experiment, he should and will stay at guard unless something unexpected happens.
Draft better at tackle and you don't need to talk about this stupid crap.
Martin doesn’t play in a vacuum. He is part of a unit. The unit was very mediocre last year. If him moving to T makes the unit better, it is a no brainer to do it.
says? any real quotes or links to coaches saying this?Dallas almost has embarrassment of riches at OL now (assuming health). Conner McGovern will compete for starting LG with Joe Looney. Connor Williams likely moves outside and back up La'el Collins and replace him after season. Key to all of this is getting Frederick back to his all-pro level. Redman likely doesn't make the team.
